Eventide 2: The Sorcerers Mirror

another day, another good time for an artifex mundi game. i did an achievements grind for this game in one sitting under 4 hours, and while it worn me out a little, it's truly worth it. [spoiler]the ability to play the game with different decisions felt nice, that added touch made this game feel a little different.[/spoiler] a rating of [u]9/10[/u] is undoubtedly my rating for this game.

Good HOB. Good story and good HOG's with varied and interesting puzzles throughout, although i did find some of the puzzles fairly easy. Tip for completionists - the final achievement requires 2 playthroughs using all the optional choices without quitting. So essentially need to complete a playthrough followed immediately by another playthrough with the opposite choices. This is the reason for the 14 hours as I required 4 playthroughs of the normal game and a single playthrough of the extra game.

Przyjemny dla oka i ucha hidden object ze słabym, zbyt zauważalnym pozornym systemem wyborów, które rzekomo mają wpływać na przebieg gry. Generalnie poza tą nienajlepiej wykonaną mechaniką przyjemne klikadełko. I tylko przy okazji: całkiem przyjemny jest także soundtrack, chociaż temat wioski (Village Theme) mocno kojarzy mi się z refrenem przeboju Belindy Carlisle - La Luna. :) POLECAM

Die Story war nicht ganz so mitreißend wie im ersten Teil. Diesmal geht es mehr um den Tod und die Trauer statt um niedliche Fabelwesen. Es ließ sich wieder gut auf dem Steamdeck spielen und die Rätsel sind einfach zu lösen und daher für Einsteiger geeignet. Das mit der Story das man das so theatermäßig vorgeführt bekommt und da immer was anklicken muss war am Anfang nett aber Irgendwann freut man sich nicht mehr darüber. Beim zweiten Durchgang (weil ich einen Spiegel vergessen hatte einzusammeln und neue Entscheidungen treffen musste) wollte ich nur fix durch weil man ja alles kennt und dann zieht sich das durch das Story-Theater ziemlich. Alles in allem jedoch ein schönes Spiel das ich gerne weiterempfehlen das nur leider wieder zu kurz war für meinen Geschmack.

Not a bad game but short and the story is not worth mentioning. The game offers some variety in puzzles and quite some hidden object scenes which make it worth playing if you are into easy puzzle games. The choice feature is not worth mentioning as it only changes the game marginally for one screen or two. My negative rating is based on the achievements - you need to play the game two times in a row without exiting to get one achievement. As I did not know this I played the game in total four times now which was getting less and less fun. According to the forum the bug is known longtime but was never fixed. So be aware of the bug when you play the game and aim for all achievements.
