I don't think I've ever posted a review for any game before so that should hopefully mean something. EVE is something incredible and really special. Every time I pick it back up I end up playing longer than the time before. There is ONE major problem though. Eventually, if you want to really make serious growth in the game you will want to multibox. I for the first time in 10+ years did this. Since I am good at microing, (thank you old starcraft days), I was hit with an automated ban...The lack of any communication, slow investigating process, and expectation that this could take weeks to resolve is completely unacceptable for paying players... yet somehow when I talk to people who this happens to they all just kind of accept that this is business as usual for the company... SO yes the game is absolutely incredible...but is gimped by its horrible automated player support systems. If this review spurs some action on a GM side to actually do something I would consider changing this review. Ticket # 2680484...Though i'm not confident even after they confirmed no violations that this doesn't happen again...until then NO I would not recommend this game

Honestly, the game is beautiful in terms of its idea, it is wider and bigger, and you need a lot of time to explore. It is not denied that it is beautiful, but when you reach a level where you need to develop the game, it forces you to pay money, and this is what I don't like. Pay monthly to continue. The option should be left to players to make the level development a little difficult and let the player choose to either go through the easy road or the difficult road will be good, and make the game paid from the beginning, there is no problem. The issue of forcing the player to pay a certain amount monthly is bad. Unfortunately, this is what will make me leave the game and give it a bad rating.
Game was better, and worse, 15 years ago. In order to do most things efficiently the game has now been designed to cater to multi boxers. The social experience from the past is much smaller than before because of this (IMO) Game is still very fun, and the addition of ways to get SP other than wait is fantastic for new players. Long term, there are now more problems than many years ago. Fun game, cannot recommend.
I've played this game for 2000+ hours.. Don't play this game if you want pvp for solo because everyone will come at you and there is a lot of Gatecamper and at Station too everyday.. this game is just waste of money and cash grab. If you want miner and missions in high sec than its ok for you.
Disregard the only 9 hours played. I have been playing this game since 2016. If I had to start playing the game today, I would never get into it. The skilling/training happens over time and takes literally a decade to be able to fly all the sub capital ships. ( Battleships and smaller ) Next reason I wouldn't play is the absolute need to multibox in the game to be relevant in pvp. Then the farmers from a country that shall not be named run 10+ accounts at the same time and HOOVER up all the best sites and you cannot contest them unless you get a small army together. On top of that, if you do contest them and win they'll just wait an hour and go back out. You can't keep 10 people together but one farmer will always be on to take the best spots. The game is good, the mechanics of mutliboxing are atrocious. If they just released a server that was no multiboxing and let people play on that. It wouls start to thrive again. TLDR game sucks, don't play it.
20 euro per month. LOL. For what?
problem playing a game thats been on for years is that you try and grow and expand as a new player, and some fu*king sweaty try hard that has top tier equipment comes along and destroys everything you've worked a few hours to put together just for fun. they get to be big and brave behind a computer screen and just go on to the next location to needlessly destroy some other new players experience. reminds me of the WoW south park episode. and you know the devs won't do anything about it cause those exact people are their cash cows. game is dying, devs know it, thats why theyre also building a new FPS that they hope will keep things afloat...that'll be built on the same pay to win model. look at games like world of warships/tanks and warthunder...it's a dying format. dont feed it.
An interesting setting, but the game itself gives the impression of a typical pay-to-win cash grab. Thanks to the reviews, I saved time that I might otherwise have unknowingly wasted on a game whose creators apparently do not respect their players.
I was going to write wall of text on what I dislike about EVE and how to fix it, but in the end - devs never listen to their community and pursue their own abstract goals. So I ended up with few most pressing points / showstoppers (imho of course): [list] [*] Ganking. And no real way to defend from it. [*] No skill training past skill-points threshold for 'alphas'. Lose omega == lose 99% of game entertainment, ships you've earned and equipment you've got. [*] Forced PvP you can't avoid. [*] Grind in the name of the grind. Wrost thing is that here grind won't even make you feel more powerful, its just pointless repetition of mindless activities day-by-day. [list]
if you're a new player, forget it, you'll never catch up, even if you pay for the monthly premium subscription game is full of multiboxers - people play this game with several other subscription accounts at the same time, so they're just a fleet on their own that you can't touch game is also full of campers, or gankers - people who sit outside of space stations and blow you up in 3 seconds flat once you leave and you can't do anything about it. happened to me but apparantly it's my fault because i was 'slow' and 'careless', and players just accept this as the norm, as do the devs - probably because of all that money they're getting from the multiboxers i was close to investing in the subcription but then i realised i'd have to subcribe several times to match with said multiboxers, yeah nah screw that i'll only play this because i have a friend who helps me out but without his charity i'd never bother this game its too grindy, confusing, and you must rely on third party tools/sites to explain mechanics that the in-game tutorial never bothers to mention
