Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 20.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 25.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Esoteric Ebb is an isometric, Disco-like, TTRPG-turned-CRPG set in a bizarre post-Arcanepunk fantasy setting. You are The Cleric, an expert in esoteric events, and a glorified government goon. Inspired by classic CRPG games, Esoteric Ebb features deep and branching dialogs with a staggering amount of choices.
Create the world’s worst cleric. Take on the city through tense TTRPG dice rolls. Struggle to maintain control with your Stats chiming in at every moment. Let the voices guide you into insane encounters and hit that natural 20 right when you need it. Become the most interesting player at the table and completely ruin your DM’s day.
Five days until the first-ever election, a tea shop explodes in the heart of the city. They send you to deal with the mess.
You wake up in a morgue with half the river in your boots, surrounded by ten thousand rotting apples, several corpses, and one zombie. Out of your depth and with no official backup, you delve into your beloved city to investigate the impossible mystery no one wants you to solve. Juggle factions and play them against each other. Explore the streets and tunnels of a fantasy metropolis. Debate devils, drunk sphinxes, and all manner of fantastical fools in a world where mythological creatures sell newspapers at corner shops and ideologies overtake the ramblings of dead gods.

Don’t forget the most important question: What are you voting in the election?
MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL COME BACK TO BITE YOU. Shifting alliances! Risky dungeoneering! Complete open-ended quests, low and high-stakes alike, set in the streets, towers, and dark tunnels of Norvik. Become the city’s savior, its demise, or bumble your way into absolute power.
TRUST THE DICE. Let chance guide you! Roll to wrestle dwarves, steal anything in sight, or to keep yourself from looking like a complete fool. But remember, in true TTRPG fashion, failure can often be way more interesting.

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD. Debate yourself! Each Ability Stat has a conflicting viewpoint and loves to interrupt important conversations. No matter whose side you fall on, you'll complete quests in wonderfully ridiculous ways.

WIELD REALITY-SHAPING MAGIC. Use The Cleric’s power for unique narrative choices. Control minds for fun and profit. Detect secrets in the tunnels below or in the thoughts of your enemies. Speak with anyone, living or dead, just to see how they insult you.

TURN-BASED ENCOUNTERS. Clerics in Norvik are taught to use violence as a last resort. When the need does arise, a roll of the dice determines life or death. But you always have a bizarre solution to any problem, don’t you?

THE QUESTING TREE. Your quest log, skill tree, and mind map all at once. Each Quest Branch can take root in your mind and alter The Cleric’s playstyle through game-changing feats.

I had a lot of fun playing as the [strike]Cleric[/strike] Great Wizard of Norvik! It's been a while since a game made me laugh as much, the chaotic mix between a detective game and DnD is just perfect. If you loved Disco Elysium don't hesitate to try it out!
A solo RPG with divinities representing your six stats and always trying to affect your decisions ? Why not. This game has an enormous and very complete worldbuilding, a gameplay very attractive and clichés that respect RPG codes while also adapting it for Esoteric Ebb. I think it's still missing a map to better navigate around the city and the undergrounds, even more because there is a time system in the game and you spent a long time trying to find your way. A really good discovery, I definitely recommend it.

There are a lot of other well-written reviews for this game, so I'll just say this: if you think you will enjoy this game, you will definitely enjoy this game. On an unrelated note I apparently read way faster than other players based on my game completion time vs. everyone else's. *shrugs*
I. Am.
Appleboy.
Absolutely Esoteric.
W art W music
Dungeons & Disco Elysium. I did a bunch of things out of (presumed) order in that classic Disco way, which led to a bunch of amusing outcomes...in that classic Disco way. Stop reading this, go play the game!
J'ai vraiment apprécié le jeu, tant sur la narration que sur l'intégration de l'esprit RPG dans les mécaniques.
I would risk everything for that 1%
Have to admit, I dropped this game when I first played it. I did so because I guess I expected Disco Elysium 2 for some reason. Of course, this game is its own thing, with some *inspiration* taken from DE. Once I started treating it as such, I got hooked. The world is intricately crafted, whether you look at the artstyle, characters, mechanics, or the lore in the background. Being crazy and making idiotic decisions is pretty much as funny and rewarding as one would expect after getting here from Disco. The game is heavy on politics of course, but really it's up to you if you engage with it. When creating my character, I tried to make myself, and as such the most important skill would be the one I align with politically the most. I am a pretty fervorous leftist, and as such,
I chose Wisdom as my main trait
. I don't know if this was the main cause, but I feel like the chime which usually got the last word in was the leftist one, even if the conversation was just the skills talking, not determined by passive checks . I could be wrong, but based on this, I assume that the game is given from a leftist perspective. Considering that, I really like that fact that the game doesn't dehumanize (or, whatever the term would be for non-human politically engaged creatures lol) beings with different ideologies. They're all portrayed as product of their environment and circumstance. Characters of every alignment and political stance are driven by their best interest, whatever they believe it is; be it the safety of their kind, freedom of choice, egality of all folk, rule of merit, and anything in between. Whichever character it is, you could see them existing as a real person if you apply real world rules to the world.
Also I am really glad I got to rizz the Polish angel at the end.
