Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠿⠿⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠟⣫⣭⣤⡴⣶⣶⣶⣤⣬⣝⡻⢿⠛⣩⣶⣧⠘⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠋⣠⣾⣿⠿⠟⣹⣿⠿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣄⠺⣿⣿⣿⠄⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢡⣿⣿⣦⣴⣸⠦⢋⣴⣇⠈⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⢸⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⠇⣸⣿⠿⣟⡉⣤⠲⠇⠙⠿⡀⠹⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⢁⣾⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⣿⣿⡇⠹⡇⠈⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⢹⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⢸⣿⣿ ⣿⠛⣉⣉⠄⣿⣿⣿⡀⠁⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠈⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⢸⣿⣿ ⣿⡀⣿⣿⡆⢹⣿⣿⣷⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⢀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠸⠿⠿ ⣿⣿⣦⡙⠻⠸⣿⣿⣿⣷⣄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢠⣿⡿⢃ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⡝⠻⣿⣿⣿⣷⣤⣤⣤⣤⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠛⣡⣼ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⣈⠿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠛⢉⣴⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣶⣶⣯⣭⣭⣉⣩⣭⣭⣥⣶⣶⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿

A very rough solo adventure that features managing a small group of survivors after a Zombie outbreak. It isn't totally bad, if you look past all the glaring mistakes in spelling which give the impression that the game is going to be amateurish; but the UI for settings doesn't really tell you when an option is ON or OFF (such as the TUTORIAL) and going into the game itself, controls for your downtime actions (Scout, Eat, Rest, Craft or Train) are challenging to figure out, and leave you feeling that no matter what you do; its not going to be smoothly carried out. I didn't mind the characters and backgrounds that seem hand drawn, but overall, I spent far too much time just digging, re-reading and trying things again and again....just to get my first encounter completed. Too much effort for such a low return of entertainment. Thumbs down, sadly.
"Envy the Dead" is a poorly assembled hybrid survival/crafting/resource management game, tower defense and strategy game, relying heavily on procgen so the Russian "developer" didn't have to do any work on encounter/level design etc. You have a team of identical "survivors" with a bunch of random stats, you can get more, also painfully generic characters. Gameplay consists of scouting, then going into combat, which is a function of placing obstacles/etc (hence the TD component) and a more active phase of maintaining those while you fight of the generic zombie horde. It looks a lot to me like all the assets in the game are taken from other places/asset packs, but they're not credited. I feel it's unlikely all these assets are the product of one single Russian "developer." The whole game is a clunky, unpolished, buggy train wreck. The concept seemed sound, which appealed to a lot of gamers (plus the low price), but as the player data below shows, nobody really liked it or played it seriously. It's just junk, more Russian shovelware glutting Steam. The game features no proper level design or game/story flow/plot, as they opted to try to use samey repetitive procgen algorithms as a substitute for adding such content to the game, to avoid doing the important job of level/map design. As a result, the game doesn't actually have any content worth mentioning, just endless, boring, repetitive, soulless algorithmically generated sameyness. Developers must learn that procedural generation is not an acceptable substitute for content. You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. "Envy the Dead" has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for winning a single fight, but only around 6 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this isn't consistent with the achievement stats, that show only 6 percent of players bothered playing the game for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this game to have so many concurrent players who weren't even playing the game? Trading cards. Players will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game. That tells us people only really bought this game for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. "Envy the Dead" is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
ED is a game where you are tasked to lead an AI generated ragtag squad of sole sourvivors through dissstopian lands. It sells itself as 'extremely hardcore' as you're fighting in the face of impotence, but ultimately it just flops its way into a sea of mediocrity and lazy development. The tower defense elements are an interesting addition and allow for periods of camping out the infection, but your charactors die way too easily and the combat is bad, plane and simple. At roughly 2 american dollars, ED is the same price of a Bacon McDouble, so it won't cost you much to take a bite. Nevertheless, there is better content out there.
