Reviews
Боже, 4X стратегии это пожалуй самый душный жанр стратегий. Таблицы Excel и то интереснее. Not recommended
My two good school pals tried to get me in bed with Civilization. I did an Uno reverse on them and got them both to stop worrying and love Eador: Genesis. Because, seriously, why would you play this thing with cosmetic and borderline negligible faction differences? Which mangles historic cultures to boot. Better a meaty RPG/Strategy hybrid. I don't know the subgenre history well enough to claim it was Endless Legend that first solved the issue, but it's the first one I've seen. Among the direct Civ-likes I only play this and Gladius.
[strike]And if you're willing to look at the bigger picture there's always Dominions and Shadow Empire...[/strike]
And the music is out of this world.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

so I played this mostly offline, and have about 3-4 hours, just if you're offline the playtime doesn't register. So far easily my favorite of the ENDLESS:tm: games that were made, dungeon of the endless was just a glorified idle game where you had no reason to not be in the map. Endless space was stellaris if the combat was somehow worse and the diplomacy, civ management, and research all had borderline nothing to them. This actually has some really fun ideas. It's like if heroes of might and magic had a baby with civ or maybe age of wonders, but I can't really speak on the latter since I barely remember how it played. It's a very competent imitation of civ, but diplomacy feels more akin to a paradox title than sid meier. I like the questing system where interacting with what are basically city states will give you quests, or just let you destroy them, they can also try conquering your cities. I like the exploration and relic hunting, it makes the scouting and discovery feel more meaningful and I especially love how that can give you quests. Then the research being divided into spheres of progression, where you can research anything in one sphere, and when you hit a certain amount now you can research any in these two spheres. Just refreshing even if it's not much. I especially love the mechanic straight out of masters of orion that lets you shuffle around your population to focus on different areas of production. This is without getting into the combat. Initially, this almost put me off from properly trying the game. With how it has the auto battle button that's a red flag, and it initially seemed as if it was a percentage chance based on unit types and levels and that there was nothing to it other than just picking which one they'd rush and hoping the dice rolls well after paying attention to initiative unit turn order. Actually when you start dealing with your bigger armies, and you get your hero units involved and different types. You start dealing with ranged units, flying units, you can move to a spot and order them to attack anyone nearby, but maybe that fails because you're not sure what the enemies decision will be. There's high ground advantage, you can have fire breathing wyverns basically made of paper that you might have flee to the edges of the field constantly until a unit is alone enough and you're sure no other unit might try targeting your unit. They might be countered by centaurs that have higher initiative that might stunlock them. Then there's how you can manage unit equipment, gear, heroes each have a skill tree that can benefit city development, their own combat, or their armies strength. You also need to worry that your attack won't land because another unit attacked you forcing that unit to have to attack back cancelling your planned action which makes movement, positioning and specifying which unit to focus on and attack even more important. It's deceptive how simple it seems initially. It gives me a lot of hope for what they do with their later games. I'm definitely hopeful for endless legend 2.
I love Amplitude Studios! I hope to see more from them in the future!
This is a timeless game that I just have to play at times. While I save up for EL2, I'm going to replay all my favorite factions, especially the Broken Lords. The territory system is awesome and the world is just so beautiful.
Я утонул в тактике и стиле
More addictive than crack <3 Genuinely this game is able to warp you perception of time in a very (un)healthy way
ONE. MORE. TURN.. 3AM
Actually it is confined, not endless
