Very solid, if short, game. There is replayability in the form of secrets and challenges, as well as an arena mode if you love the combat, but I found just playing through the story mode to be a satisfying experience. Mechanically this game reminds me a lot of early Assassin's Creed titles, but more linear. Some moderate parkour platforming, combat is a dodge-and-parry kind of system, but where it really shines is the interactable environment. Every fight is littered with boxes to kick, stairs to tumble enemies down, and loose (often humorous) items to throw at people's heads - and you'll need everyone one of them to come out on top. Fighting fair is simply not a viable option, so pull a bunch of dirty tricks Three Musketeers style. The art is great, the dialogue is fun, and the music is absolutely perfect for the mood. I am shocked that there aren't more games in this milieu, hopefully En Garde inspires more devs.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

En Garde! is a game that's been given the prestigious souls-like tag because it has a block, a parry, and it's reasonably difficult. It has no interactable checkpoints (i.e. bonfires), no leveling system or RPG elements of any kind, no stamina bar, no equippable armors or weapons, no metroidvania-esque open world, no summon signs or invasions or covenants or PVP of any kind, no analog for an Estus Flask or any consumables, and only one ending. BUT, beyond all that, it's exactly like Dark Souls. No, but seriously, it's a fun game, it's affordable, it's not too long, and it has a charming story and atmosphere. The levels have optional objectives and hidden secrets which gives them some replay value and there's an arena mode. Play it, it's good.
Very good game! Short and sweet, reminds me of the early PS2 days.
Short but very fun. Combat is fast paced and heavily relies on using your environment properly. Story mode was good, Arena was fine.
This game is okay, just okay. The visual are the only thing completely good in it. Everything is colorful, the scenarios are detailed and the lightning is great. So visually, perfect. The gameplay is a mixed bag. It's good, but has some pretty big flaws in its execution and how it's handled. You have two types of gameplay, fight and parkour/run around, at a first glance, they're good, stylish and work well, until you need to fight a group of enemies just to realize the combat was made for 1v1 duels and should've stayed that way, or spend another minute jumping across places or running around just to realize you don't have anything to do when you're not fighting aside from jump and run. Its length. You can finish the game in ~2-3 hours, after that, you can replay the 4 episodes or start a run in the arena mode, where you face hordes of enemies with a random system of buffs and debuffs. That's it and can become boring quickly. The story and characters are bad. Somehow, they made something worse than Borderlands 3. They tried to make some sort of theatrical comedy play divided by acts where nothing really matter and full of "he's right behind me, isn't he?" type of humor, and it's way too corny for my taste. Not recommended because as it is, this game is not that great. An expansion would do wonders for it, but i don't think it's gonna happen.
Love it, threw me back to the days of ps2 and ps3 family friendly games which I like.
A very campy charming four episode adventure. Feels very puss in boots in terms of story telling and style. The combat is fun and challenging. I played on normal and it felt very approachable. I think if you want more of a challenge you just up the difficulty, same with lowering it. I liked the envormental effects in combat. The dialogue was definitely campy but in a very funny way. En Garde! has plenty to offer for those looking for a quick fun adventure
