Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 17 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

They took our money and ran, I am late to release my review, but there truly is no excuse for how we where just left in the dust. So... Years later. Here is my thumbs down.
I had such high hopes for a game like this. But instead, the game devs released a game that wasn't even finished. Plenty of bugs and poor AI. Many people have purchased this game and DLC and the devs have completely scrapped all support. Game play wise expect the AI to come at your with MANY more people then you could ever thing about defending against. At it's current state I would say the game is work 10 bucks.

Needs a lot more work. amazing potential but was abandoned.
I really want to like this game for the combat and the fact they let you control your minions, but some of the Questslines are so bugged that i cant Progres with them and i have to go with the boring city-conquest.
Good for sale, bad for full price
The devs have abandoned this game, it has a great idea. it fails to execute.
to date, ive played 575 hours.. the best maffia management business game ive played , be the BOSS, The DON, the KINGPIN that you u want, immerse yourself with 14 different mob bosses to play , dozens of hired gun/gangster characters with their own story lines.. and 10 in game districts that constitute the 1920s era chicago. 5stars from ME .
As a person who enjoys classic television shows and movies, I like the idea and basis of this game. However, I can't recommend spending $40 on this game unless it's on sale. I feel like this game could have been something bigger and better than it is. It just feels a bit sluggish and unfinished the interface is also kind of cluttered. However, for what it is, I do enjoy it.
Empire of Sin stands as a testament to what could have been, yet feels somewhat neglected by both its developers and the modding community. It's reminiscent of a game left to languish, yearning for the vibrant support seen in the old Paradox model – where DLCs introduced game-changing features and multiplayer support flourished. Imagine a DLC offering the ability to craft custom characters, coupled with a deeper economic system, all bundled with new characters and win conditions. Perhaps even expanding the game's scope to include different cities like Montreal or New York would have breathed new life into the experience. It's disappointing to note that ambitious mods, such as the proposed integration of the Vampire: The Masquerade IP, now seem abandoned. Despite this, Empire of Sin remains enjoyable, albeit not quite justifying its full price in its current state. However, on sale, it may be worth considering, in hopes that future expansions will capitalse on its promising foundation and enrich the overall experience.
