Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 17 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This is a great game. I find it funny that it got mixed reviews.

When this game first came out, and the Devs were still involved, Id give this gamea great review. But now after coming back to it several years latter i see why i stopped playing. Its so repeatitive, even for a 4x, Its buggy as hell STILL. And just overall abandoned. Its good for a few hours but its Not worth full price. BUY AT A DISCOUNT!
I first experience with this game was on my Xbox, and when I noticed it was on sale, I couldn't resist picking it up. If you have a desire to embrace your inner gangster, this game might be exactly what you're after. Although I feel it misses a few key features that could push it into the realm of a truly outstanding strategy game, it still offers a lot of fun. The gameplay is engaging enough to keep you entertained for a few hours, particularly if you manage to get it at a lower price. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone looking to dive into a mobster-themed adventure. The thrill of the game, combined with a good deal, makes it a worthwhile addition to your collection.
★★★☆☆
Ultra buggy can't even get through the first mission as when I shoot the thugs they drop to the floor as if dead but take no damage, next turn they double up so now there's 2 then next turn 3.... Total crap bug ridden game.
I didn't have particularly high expectations for Empire of Sin, but somehow it managed to fall short of them in just about every way. Starting with the few positives: EoS scratches the turn-based tactics itch decently enough, offering your standard low-cover/high-cover/2 AP/percentage-to-hit X-Com rip-off fare. There's a good number of weapons and special abilities to mix things up a little bit. However, the maps are so repetitive and uninspired that even just 8 hours in I've found myself bored to tears by doing the same paint-by-numbers strat over and over. Every map is a square or rectangle with the same five or six environment models scattered haphazardly throughout. There's no apparent effort to make the rackets feel like real places - or even to differentiate them from each other in any way. So you might think, "Well, maybe the empire management is the interesting part." Well, you'd be wrong. There are three rackets you can develop, and as far as I can tell the only difference between them is different stats for income, alcohol use, and police attention. There's only two real resources - alcohol and money - and it seems they can mostly be ignored. You can just take places over and develop whatever and it works out fine. Combine these extremely low-effort mechanics with Paradox's signature "constant pop-ups because we insist on using real-time for some reason" and you've got what essentially feels like a glorified mobile game. Every building looks the same, the characters have same vibe as Raid: Shadow Legends characters, half the writing feels like it came out of Google translate, and there isn't even a proper run animation ffs. I really think reviews for this are way too generous (even many of the negative ones), and you should watch some gameplay videos to make sure this is actually something you'd want to play. I genuinely don't think it's worth anyone's time regardless of price.
I've had an opportunity to try this game by the very end of developers' support. What can I say about this game? Extremely interesting setting and separate gameplay solutons. Its feels cool to lead your clan and fight for dominance in the gangster world of Chicago. But the game has several minuses as non-clear goals and missions, huge repetitiveness of missons, several bugs in infographics or animation, low variety of actions, like only fights and upgrading of economical buildings. The animation, chacters, atmosphere are cool, its interesting to inspect the city with your gang, but there is not so much to there, unfortunatelly. Still had some amusement after bunch of hours and hope, thart there will be more different games in this mafia setting.
Awful. Yet another turn-based, RNG fest. And the dice-rolling combat rubbish is unskippable. It doesn't just let you run the empire. No, you have to take part in this teeth-pulling RNG crap where your guys can get blown away behind full cover if an enemy's shot from across the map gets lucky.
i really want to love this game but the bugs make it very difficult to do so one minute you're a couple precincts away from winning and the next your save is nowhere to be found or your alcohol supply gets an NaN and you lose most of your income i hope they fix some of these extreme issues
