Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 17 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I think this game is honestly so much fun. It doesn't have great reviews, but I don't care really. It keeps me interested! Only honest downfall is the limited story possibilities but that's all.

im enjoying the game, im 5 hours in and am thinking more and more like a mob boss by each hour.
Over all I would give this game a 6 out of 10, but this game was 14.99 on sale anything higher and the score would have dropped. It was worth the 15 bucks but its buggy, has little development to any story or character and felt slow in a way like I was always waiting for something that never materialized for the game itself. Reasoning below: This game is a game for those who love to click on things. setting up your empire is just clicking through menus and adjusting for time based cooldowns on said menus. The battles are fine but repetitive and having someone die has no real effect long term, as they will miraculously come back available to hire again later on once enough time has passed. Once you have setup a single territory with enough rackets, you never run out of booze or money. The characters you get to hire and the boss you get to play have little choices for upgrades to level up and again, its all time based just like the rackets. Simplicity over runs the in depth controls you have of what to do with each racket and how it is setup. The simplicity of the game also means you don't need the diplomacy menu for anything other than a quest now and again since you can run roughshod over all things as long as you are patient. I was able to complete a single play through, though I utilized some save scum because I wanted to hurry it up for conflicts since you get a choice to fight or resolve it for you. This turned out to be a blessing and a curse as it saves tons of repetition but also comes with the high percentage of failure even at 75% or higher results for a win resolution. This worked both ways though for when someone was attacking my territories too, I would just auto resolve and live with those consequences since It didn't really matter if my racket was destroyed for a month. If you like turn based combat and simple mechanics for said combat this game will give you entertainment for some time before its overwhelming the same thing over and over again. With that though, the combat in this did a good job of using melee skills and ranged skills, which is a hard balance sometimes, but they did it great here. If you like mobsters of the 1920s, you don't really get the feeling for actually being one, but you get the vibes and the feeling of the era.

The idea great! The beginning in the game amazing. But then it is just boring. You always fight on the same four maps to take over a racket. It gets boring with time. There needs to be a more endgame challenge. More story. Also, there are no more updates and there are bugs as well. So save the money. Even so I love the idea and beginning I must say it was not worth it.

With a decade's worth of competition behind it, Empire of Sin attempts to copy everyone's homework while trying not to make it too obvious. Players of Omerta and Gangsters will immediately see the similarities, and along with it, every issue that riddled this game's predecessors. Its initial hours are to be praised; With a large cast of unique characters that all come with their own initial story, it's easy to get immersed in your narrative while short-and-sweet alternative missions keep you occupied between the game's progression loop. It only takes your first or second run of this loop, however, to spot just how shallow the ocean is... Its management aspect is almost identical to an idle sim, and its combat variety and difficulty scaling immediately default to more red shirts that take slightly more damage. The Bosses mechanics quickly boil down to traits and bonuses tier-listed into game-breaking or not worth playing at all, only serving to slightly speed up or slow down the monotonous board game format, making anything but smaller, faster playthroughs an unrewarding grind. Your Gangsters, as the ability to hire lackeys or goons is barred for you, and only available to the opposition, try their best to tear you from any semblance of realism; Adamant to bloat the game with horribly inaccurate portrayals and tokenism while swearing they're a hard-researched, deeply historical game. With everything falling short of the mark, the developers attempted to fix, it and soon after abandoned the title. And it's only DLC showing a clear Paradox-style marketing scheme of selling you basic functions for a price tag. And even if they were to continue development, you'd still find more authentic and varied gameplay from a 2001 game than this.
It has a lot of features that should be in any tactical rpg, like random titles and skills. I really wish they had a better way to offload mobsters from the early game, because I don't want to fire them or let them die...I wish you could keep them in storage. Also, procuring better equipment past blue isn't something you can leverage on purpose. I wish you could prestiege the low ranked units to level them up to the same level as high level mobsters...granting them skills on par. Definitely fun. I like this game, I feel like under the right circumstances this game could be great...It can feel repetitive but it reminds me of civilization and fire emblem...Fire Emblem has significantly more story and characters, but the setting of this and premise are really fun. I would play a sequel.
