Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 7 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I want my money back. It's not fun, it feels like an actual job, only I do not get paid- not even in fun. It's overly complicated. It's an early access game going on 8 years, maybe it will get better.
it thook the dev team 8 years to add a single perk we have had in the past with a simple mod. good job! don't get burned out now will ya.

One of my favorite games. Player base can be good or bad, toxic or friendly, depending on the moment. I prefer the friendly. Solo play can be done, but truly this game shines with MP. If you enjoy grinding out an entire career path on your own, go for lower to medium collab servers. If you prefer to rely heavily on others to build the community, go for high collab servers. Some of the greatest individuals I have ever met have been while playing this game, and also some of the worst, but hey, that's actually how the world works isn't it?
I played Eco for more than 200 hours and used to recommend it to everyone. But in the current version, I can’t recommend it anymore. The developers have heavily restricted singleplayer and local server gameplay. Many server settings that were fully customizable before are now locked or removed, including basic gameplay parameters like calorie usage, crafting speed, and other admin controls. Even running a dedicated local server does not restore the missing options. Eco used to give players freedom to tailor their experience. Now it forces a fixed ruleset that makes solo play frustrating and unnecessarily limited. Until the developers restore full server configuration options, I cannot recommend the game.
Came back to try this out after not playing it for years. They managed to make every single aspect of the experience worse - more buggy, more grindy, more unwieldy, and by the spirits the UI is a level of trash I haven't seen since... well, ever. Do not play.
Will cause addiction if you like building stuff. Play solo, play with a friend or friends, play with a bunch of strangers on a public server, with or without friends. It's all worth it. You'll want to try everything once, and next thing you know you've spent 2000 hours on this game.
Eco isn’t just a game — it’s a living, breathing civilization simulator that quietly becomes one of the most profound gaming experiences you’ll ever have. From the moment you enter its world, Eco makes one thing clear: everything matters. Every tree you cut, every animal you hunt, every structure you build permanently alters the ecosystem. This isn’t window dressing or flavor text — it’s real, measurable consequence. Few games have the confidence to trust players with that level of responsibility, and Eco executes it flawlessly. What elevates Eco to masterpiece status is how it blends survival, economics, science, and politics into a single, cohesive experience. You don’t just craft tools — you specialize in professions that rely on other players. Farmers need engineers. Engineers need miners. Miners need smelters. Smelters need fuel. The result is a genuine, player-driven economy that feels more alive than anything scripted. Then there’s the governance system — a stroke of genius. Players write laws, set tax rates, regulate pollution, and vote on policies that can save or doom the planet. It’s not gamified politics — it’s real collaboration, negotiation, and sometimes conflict. Watching a server debate environmental limits or industrial expansion feels astonishingly close to real-world decision-making, and it’s endlessly fascinating. Visually, Eco is deceptively beautiful. Its clean, readable art style makes complex systems easy to understand while letting the world feel warm and alive. Wildlife patterns shift. Forests recover — or disappear forever. The planet itself feels like a shared character everyone is responsible for protecting. Most importantly, Eco respects the player’s intelligence. It doesn’t rush you. It doesn’t hold your hand. It trusts that meaningful gameplay comes from shared goals, hard choices, and long-term thinking. When a community succeeds — when a meteor is stopped and the planet survives — the victory feels earned in a way few games ever achieve.
I enjoy the game, it falls into a chill niche to relax with friends. That being said, paid cosmetics in a fully priced game in early access is a misunderstanding.
I have over 600 hours in the game, and its a great game until the most recent update. The devs make the specializations into stupidity. Want to select a talent, star. Want to put in a upgrade module in a table. That'll be one star PER STATION. I wouldn't play this much anymore. They have taken the fun out of the game and turned into star microtransaction hell.
