About
Echoes of Mystralia is a roguelite action-RPG where memory is power. Craft your own spells, refine your tactics, and carve your path through a world trapped in the horrors of its past.
Play as Mazarim, a Watcher tasked with protecting the Cycle of Memories. Explore the lands of Mystralia, meet its lost souls, and face the Shadows of the Past. Will you save the World’s Memory before it disappears into the Rift?
Thunderbursts, freezing tornadoes, fire vortices. If you can imagine it, you can craft it. Memories are your only weapon against the Shadows of the Past. Combine them, reorder them, and watch your spell take shape right in front of you.
Discover a world haunted by its past, where people are reliving the horrors of their own history. Every path has its challenges, its encounters, and its rewards. And your journey is yours to command.
Every journey ends with a return to the Azimuth Temple. Up there, Watchers can develop their skills, change their combat approach, or simply enjoy the pearls of wisdom of a millennia-old dragon.
A Rift has opened in the Cycle of Memories. As a Watcher, it falls to you to save the World’s Memory. Divinities, primordial Guardians, and peoples scarred by war and exploitation: a vast world unfolds before you. Only you can uncover its hidden truths.

Had a lot of fun with this game! Reminds me of the spell building in Magicraft. You don't even need fantastic luck to beat the game...just be smart enough to move spells where they should go. Difficulty gets harder as you go and can be even harder depending on which battles you choose. Runs extremely well! Highly Recommend!
I think the game has pretty good bones, of course this is early access and there isn't much content... but if you enjoy hades/like games then this has that kind of energy. It can be a little brutal early on without the meta upgrades... but games like this are supposed to be punishing late in the game to make you replay it a little bit stronger. I give it an 8.5/10

Very addictive
After the mixed reviews and playing up to the second boss, I can already recommend this game, with the caveat that you enjoy roguelike/roguelites that are incredibly difficult. Healing is at a PREMIUM, so just assume any and all damage you take in a room is permanent. There are items that heal you as well as healing being purchasable from the sparce shops, but if a wolfs bite does 11 damage, you're going to be working to get that health back. The attacks from the enemies are very well telegraphed and I haven't taken damage yet that felt like I couldn't have avoided it. The bosses are enjoyable I normally wait longer to review any given game, but I'm doing my part against the negative reviews.
Game is solid but between the negative reviews saying "i finished it on the first run" which is basically bullsh1t and other people complaining about the difficulty it got this to a mixed status which does not represent the game at all. First of all, this game leans towards the "souls like" aspect a lot more than other roguelikes. It has extremely challenging dodge windows and very high damage in general. The mobs tend to spawn on top of you as you go which i think should be fixed. I also think that one of the elements should have sustainability (like if you use water you heal/lifeleech) so that it can make runs a bit less frustrating when the ad spawn gets a bit out of hand. Yes some elements are better but what do you expect with this much variety? It's normal. It will be normalized if the devs care about the game. I just hope they buff weak elements instead of nerfing the strong ones. This type of game should be about making OP builds by the end of each run and seeing them play out and not hope you get lucky to roll meta. Every build should be viable and different. I also think groove puzzles should have a little bit more time like 5 extra seconds or 10 max wouldn't hurt (or maybe make that something you can buy as an upgrade etc.) Overall the game is in EA but it's great and requires a mix of skill and patience. Highly recommended, don't listen to the trolls.
Hear me out on The Timeless One
THE BEST MAGIC ROGUELIKE I PLAYED. Very good game? Yes absolutly, very good balance and magic system. I fell in love from the first sight. If you are bored from simple deck building or item building roguelikes this is for you. Please give me more content I need it. Will wait for next update and play in free time.
No clue how the reviews are mixed for this game. A great entry to the roguelike genre, and worth a try if you have any interest in a new spin on a good format. (It's okay for games to be similar to and not be Hades or Noita, I promise.) Pros: - It's fun. (Often overlooked) - The combat is tight and feels polished. - The soundtrack is great. - Plentiful, high-quality voice acting. - Spell experimentation is an interesting niche and is fun to experiment with. It's extremely satisfying when you get a good combination going. - Good difficulty curve, not too easy, not too hard. - All of the above and it's Early Access. Room for Growth: (Edit to add this, as I didn't want to add "Cons" until I finished the game) - More NG+ Challenges. I completed the game in around 6 attempts (5 hours), then went back to back damage-less against each of the bosses. Current state doesn't seem to have the Hades equivalent of "Heat", which it would benefit greatly from (and I would imagine would be targeted in a future update). - Difficulty scaling is a bit mixed as areas go on. Shadows (Mini-Bosses) are much more difficult than the Area Bosses, and some Area 3 rooms of enemies seem to spawn far longer than I would expect. Is it worth $20 in it's current state? I'd say so, but that's up to you. Compared to similar new games in the roguelike genre, like Shape of Dreams or Windblown, I think it holds up so far. I'm having a great time anyways, and I'm looking forward to seeing new features as they come in.
This game has some really strong foundation to build on. Considering that it is in Early Access there might still be some balancing issues or some gameplay choices that could be improved upon. But for what it is worth, this game already feels very fun to play and I had a great time thus far. If you are a fan of games like Hades I do think this game is worth checking out.
After finishing 3rd boss: Good game, but like other reviews have said, it needs some balancing and polishing. Trial and error is needed to get good spell combinations, some seemingly lame modifiers might make your other modifiers go bonkers. Early game is bit of a slog - good stuff is locked out for quite some time as there are 4 meta progression items you need to gather. The game is pretty punishing, enemies deal good chunk of damage and there are lots of things to dodge. If you rush to unlock the double dodge skill/lotus/whatever, it gets much easier. At first it is quite difficult to get health back, but this too gets easier as you progress. The truly frustrating thing at times is the visibility, it is sometimes outright impossible to see anything as there are billion flashing lights on the screen.
