Ok, so first of all, I didn't refund the game. There is some really good stuff here. Animations are great and the art direction is solid BUT if this game wants to succeed on any level it needs more depth. Yeah sure, combat feels floaty, controller inputs are wonky and the game is generally light on content but that's a given in this stage. Naxia needs interesting itemization and a more complex and robust character progression system. I will continue to support you guys and of course update this review if the game has improved.
No, because the game currently has less content than 1,5 years ago. Pretty sure that's not the idea of Early Access. It's basically a glorified tech demo, in its current state. And it's overall just bad. Bad controls, clunky combat, no content, it makes you wonder what's going on at the studio. Long version ---> https://youtu.be/09ji8K7V5Rw

Alright so I guess it's my turn to make a review since I have time before going to work :) I had this game on my radar a long time ago. (You need to understand this is an Early Access so they will have to change stuff before releasing.) For now there is only the rogue class; I can't wait to try the Mage and especially Necromancer! The other melee fighter will be my last to try, if I'm lazy, but maybe the Execute animation and Rage Form could be a game-changer! I am not that much of a melee-type, but like FFXIV you feel forced to play Tank if you want to enter dungeon in a flash and not waiting for 30min (Yes I am talking when the game was released a long time ago "Abyss King" at your service!) The first part is.. very scary. You are in survival mode to the max, let me explain: The game so far has 4 level for your character. The 1 level feel like your test, as you have no potion, and the monster drops are scarce. You are constantly on the verge of dying, but.. if you can survive this, it goes better with time and leveling up to the little campaign this EA offers. Character level 4, you unlock the Rage Form, Crow for the Rogue - 280+ combo hits!! Wow insane!! It was at that moment that I had a spark in my eyes, I just loved it! Imagine the spellcasters, I am drooling! (And I play with 30 FPS, Keyboard and Mouse) - Some tweaking to do as I want to be able to change my keyboard settings to be able to rotate my camera while moving, no easy task right now.. as one example. I found the environment beautiful to look at. The Execute action when the enemy is near to die, become their main selling point in the game, with more than one way to cutthroat or tear the limbs of spiders, or stomping on them, like 1-3 different action per type of monster, from what I was able to see. - Just don't bother breaking stuff around in maps.. I hope it's not intended as it's boring and frustrating to walk around, break things and nothing, no drops at all.. (Walk around to find chest as they will be your main supply for gear drops lol) DEVs Contribution: I admit I still use Win 7. The game for me and one other person crashed with the intro for the video loading. The DEV worked his ass off with us to try to replicate the issue to fix it. It took him 2 days to convert all the videos to be playable for Win 7. Oh boy now that's what I talk about customer service! The game finally worked and I was very glad to be stressed out at my level 1 lol (Thanks MEMO!) They have a Discord channel, feel free to join us! My only wish for now is that they will be working on all 4 characters for Act 1, versus the complete Acts 1-2-3 right now for the Rogue, else I might stray away from it and play so many other games.. as they listen to us, I get the feeling that this is what will happen ^^ So for an Indie group, Thank you Infinite8, you guys Rock! Guys, try it for yourself if you are into Hack and Slash and want to try something new and encourage Indies to make greater games! The price is now for the complete game so it's a cheap investment. I will play again now, I want the Dwarven Daggers that Vulkan got! (watch his Youtube about the game)
Game should be removed, no Update since about 2 years obviously Dev's Quit.
Went early release 18 months ago, but still only has about an hour of playtime to it? Kinda sketch..
Don't waste your money on this abondonware like I did...
Can we get a update to this unfinished mess a waste of money
Firstly, don't make the same mistake I’ve made by buying this game if you're looking for some build/gear-centric aRPG similar to "Diablo", or "Torchlight", or "Grim Dawn." "Naxia" is an action-adventure with its simple progression mechanics and fights tailored to using the controller. Secondly, in my humble opinion, the game still lacks heavily both in quantity and quality after a year in Early Access. Only a single character (class) is available, no quality of life features like controller scheme switching or keyboard re-mapping are implemented, there's no voice over, very little seems to be done in terms of balance or loot variety, the enemies are often being spawned out of thin air, and last but not least, the game loop itself is boring. On a side note, I don't know what people mentioning nice animations smoke: the animations are clunky, and the damage zone often simply does not align with the animations (for example, try the very first boss, his swing attacks reach you even when his model does not).
Vaporware
absolutely no new developments have came to this game. There is still only one playable class. download the demo if they have it still, and play it for free, but DON"T buy it as the game has died.
