About
Echoes of Mystralia is a roguelite action-RPG where memory is power. Craft your own spells, refine your tactics, and carve your path through a world trapped in the horrors of its past.
Play as Mazarim, a Watcher tasked with protecting the Cycle of Memories. Explore the lands of Mystralia, meet its lost souls, and face the Shadows of the Past. Will you save the World’s Memory before it disappears into the Rift?
Thunderbursts, freezing tornadoes, fire vortices. If you can imagine it, you can craft it. Memories are your only weapon against the Shadows of the Past. Combine them, reorder them, and watch your spell take shape right in front of you.
Discover a world haunted by its past, where people are reliving the horrors of their own history. Every path has its challenges, its encounters, and its rewards. And your journey is yours to command.
Every journey ends with a return to the Azimuth Temple. Up there, Watchers can develop their skills, change their combat approach, or simply enjoy the pearls of wisdom of a millennia-old dragon.
A Rift has opened in the Cycle of Memories. As a Watcher, it falls to you to save the World’s Memory. Divinities, primordial Guardians, and peoples scarred by war and exploitation: a vast world unfolds before you. Only you can uncover its hidden truths.

In its current state I don't recommend the game, it needs some balancing when it comes to the bosses, especially the first few. (The Luci fight is unfun/unbalanced for example) The game is amazing other than the balance, and I am sure they will address this in the future.

The skill building system, variety, the ability to be creative with your builds, the random surprises that you get when combining things, the unexpected interactions and the overall fun factor of the game is incredible. Please remember this only early access and already at this point I am beyond impressed with how the game plays in terms of creativity and skill building. This game has potential to be best Roguelike of 2026, and to create a genre defining system. I understand that the game is in early access but the things that will need to change for this game to become a masterpiece are: 1) Enemy variety 2) More interesting boss mechanics 3) MORE SPELL INTERACTIONS (because they are incredibly fun and the entire identity of this game, cudos to you guys you created something incredible here) 4) Balancing, and what I mean by that is reward systems, progression and difficulty (for me end game regions are artifically hard, what I mean by that is, you increase number of enemies, traps, add second lifebar and more ground explosions, but if a person has sufficient enough levels in the lotus pool you can just steam roll through that with one great spell, I dont exactly know how to add true hardness into the game tho) 5) The way the game is designed the spells are so fun but they usually take a lot of screen realestate so at some point it becomes impossible to dodge attacks reliably, i dont how one would address that but just a note. OVERALL I WOULD 100% RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO ANYONE JUST FOR THE SPELL BUILDING SYSTEM AND HOW AMAZING AND WELL THOUGHT OUT IT IS. YOU WILL HAVE HOURS UPON HOURS OF FUN, BUILDING, TESTING, EXPERIMENTING AND GETTING THAT SWEET DOPANIME RUSH ONCE YOU HIT SOME INCREDIBLE COMBO.
Will scratch your Hades itch.
This game is awesome. Of course it is in the "work in progress" phase but capability to create "new" spells is incredebly powerful und superb. 10 out of 10 points!!!!
Great game play
Pretty standard overall yet the weapon spell system has that game breaking feel to it. You can make some insane combinations and for those who said it was too difficult sheesh...break the game and you shall conquer. Right now it's in the earliest version of EA so it can only go up from here. Great job devs
I don't think I've ever felt this disappointed and conflicted about a game. On the one hand, the universe, the spell-building system, and the art design are excellent. On the other hand, the game itself is incredibly frustrating. The difficulty feels poorly balanced, and the game is extremely punishing. Healing is scarce, and sometimes the spells you're offered simply don't allow you to put together a decent run. This is a roguelike where you're supposed to gradually improve, but when you have to do two runs just to unlock a Lotus item in the hope of making the next one slightly more manageable, progression quickly starts to feel painfully slow—especially when those runs are awful. I almost never leave reviews, but I'm making an exception here because I genuinely hope the game improves. The core ideas are really good, and there's clearly a lot of potential here. The problem isn't the foundation—it's the way the progression and difficulty are currently designed around it. I would really like to see the game evolve into something that does justice to its excellent core concepts. So, I'm going to stop playing for now. I might come back if the progression and difficulty systems get reworked, because in its current state, the only thing I've gotten out of the game is frustration. I haven't had any fun with it.
