Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 364/day in the week to Jul 17 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Eastward is a beautifully detailed and charming adventure game, from Shanghai-based indie developers, Pixpil.
In the near-future, society is starting to collapse, and the human population is at an all-time low. A deadly toxic presence has spread across the land, destroying and devouring everything in its path.
Those who could escape the miasma flocked to underground villages to start a new life. But for a hardworking miner and a mysterious young girl, the hope of a thriving outside world beckons…
Escape the tyrannical clutches of Potcrock Isle's subterranean society and join Eastward’s unlikely duo on an exciting adventure to the land above! Discover beautiful yet bizarre settlements and make new friends as you travel across the world by rail.
Contains adult humour and some mature themes.
Discover the wonderfully weird world of Eastward. Climb aboard the cross-country railway which spans this decaying continent, stopping off to explore its bustling towns, curious campsites and shady forests.
Fend off peculiar monsters and ferocious bosses with John’s weapon of choice - be it a flamethrower, cog-shooter or your trusty ol’ frying pan. Feeling merciful? Try temporarily stunning them with Sam’s kinetic blast.
Switch between John and Sam to solve environmental puzzles and fight your way through formidable dungeons. Separate the duo to unlock hidden paths or stick together as you traverse a perilous landscape.
Get to know a quirky cast of characters with oodles of personality! Immerse yourself in a heartwarming story-driven adventure, packed with fun and wacky humour.
Create deliciously authentic Eastwardian cuisine using (mostly) fresh, organic ingredients from toxic forests, potcrab farms and abandoned malls. These delicacies will grant health bonuses, power boosts and secret boons.
Bop along to a wonderfully upbeat soundtrack composed by Joel Corelitz (Death Stranding, Hohokum, The Unfinished Swan), with sound design from Irish studio, Hyperduck Soundworks (Dust: An Elysian Tail, Kingdom Rush)

Reviews
The core parts of this game are good. For fans of the visual style - it has character. For fans of the music genre - it's good. Gameplay segments are varied and interesting. But I think the clincher that will make or break the game is the narrative/writing. There are a lot of segments where you are less playing and instead, progressing through character dialogue. Personally I'm Ok with this, I don;t mind slowing gameplay down if it helps me connect more to characters. And in some way that happens here. BUT. the overarching narrative is not great, feels more like a pastiche of cliches and popular concepts that have been loosely fitted together, and so when it finishes for the players who have invested into the characters - you sort of have this reaction of "wait whut?" Lots of unfinished loose ends and confusing motivations. So basically: if you don't mind slow pace moments where character development happen - allow yourself to not get too invested in the story - it's worth a go: because gameplay, visuals and sound are very nice.

Si te dejás llevar, te va a marcar.
The graphics and artstyle are gorgeous Music is super cozy Story is captivating Exploration is fun Gameplay is not challenging though
Nice graphics, but man is there already too much dialogue. Dialogue is fine when the plot is good and the characters are intriguing, but that was not the case here, at least for me. People just drone on and on about stuff that really doesn't matter. It's not even slice of life stuff. It's just dull.
This game is so good and I absolutely love it, especially Sam. She’s super cute, and I really wish there was an option where we could feed her (animation/mini-game). The art style is beautiful, and the BGM is really nice. The boss fights aren’t overly difficult, so they never feel frustrating. Definitely money well spent. Honestly, I’d even buy this at full price because it totally deserves it. You can really tell the developers enjoyed making this game.💖
