Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 10 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good game
I've had purchased this game years ago on my ps4 & now on steam so here's my verdict: Pro: 1. Much better than the ps4 version because its moddable on pc. 2. For a remaster its much better than the Xbox 360 & ps3 versions. 3. Gameplay its much smoother & difficulty its pretty balanced. Cons: 1. The weapon variety its limited, but improved & with two new additional vehicles is not enough to defeat the aliens. 2. Npc's die like paper being cut by scissors, implement more npcs like on EDF 6 & EDF world brother's 2. My additional suggestions/feedback will be bringing back the weapons of EDF 4.1 afterwards applying them with the new gameplay mechanics that EDF 5, 6 & world brother's 2 promoted. For example: Battery post, zero laser rifles, wing diver's most powerful sniper "gungnir", laser chainsaw, & Laguna blaster deserves to return on modern EDF soft reboot sequels (EDF 7 & 8) such making them upgradeable, with improved variants just like on world brother's 2. The reason I mentioned about bringing these weapons on soft reboot/sequels (EDF 7 & 8) its because world brother's its not my cup of tea even though it features more QoL, more content, more weapons & etc. EDF Sequels/soft reboots are still much better than EDF spin offs. Because EDF sequels introduces a large & wide of variety of new enemy types especially new alien faction. Introducing interesting gameplay, more variety & types of missions. Overall sequel/soft reboots are much memorable & have unique gameplay, unique mission packs to complete. My opinion for this game is that it still aged decently this year yet is hard to recommend beginners on buying EDF 4.1. Note: Developers take your time on Developing EDF 7 until is finished. Then take your time on EDF world brothers 3 basically one game at a time. Wishes you well on your game development progress and success.

It's an overall very fun and well optimized game, albeit with a few buts. The theme/general look and feel are spot on. Hordes of insects to mow down, robots varying in giantness from a house to a skyscraper and beyond, and an occasional copyright-safe Godzilla to punch in the face with a mech. Varying environments: cities with destructible buildings, mountains, caves, but the maps are sometimes reused between different missions with a different spawn point. They are, however, quite spacious, so it isn't very noticeable. The missions try their hardest to mix things up with the story/objectives, but there are a lot of them, so they do get a bit repetitive at a point. On one hand, it kind of works, but on the other there isn't quite enough enemy variety to support them. There are a lot of different weapons to try out, especially at first when you're getting all the new loot, but a good chunk of them are either straight up useless or you just outgrow them, as there are different equipment levels the higher in difficulty you go. Still, there are use cases for weapons from every category, so it isn't that bad, and there is fun to be had in picking just the right loadout for a particular goal. Speaking of difficulty: while it does allow to tailor your experience (pick between simple fun, a bit of strategy, or unbearable suffering), the balance is kind of whack. EASY and NORMAL aren't even difficulties, HARD seems like the intended experience (challenging enough but not extremely punishing), but then the jump to HARDEST is very abrupt and together with INFERNO they are seemingly for people who hate themselves with a passion. Some missions are easier then others, though, so you can get some loot on the higher diffs to make it easier on yourself. For the first playthrough, I highly recommend starting on NORMAL, switching to HARD as soon as you can (i.e. when you get some weapon variety) and then just staying there until the end. That way you can just complete missions in order without pausing to grind for armor, and there are still missions you can complete on HARDEST along the way for some better weapons. This is what's been working for me so far and I'm almost done with the missions on Ranger. Anyway, cool game more than worth its listed price, and is an absolute steal on sale.
