Golfers will particularly like it.

The gameplay is good, using the 3-click method since I'm on a PC. But, it's not perfect. You can hit the ball perfectly on the swing meter, and it randomly goes well off-target anyway...drives me nuts (yes, I accounted for wind). Graphics are good but not flexible. I have a 3840x1200 monitor, and while other games offer this resolution, this one does not...I have to opt for a lower 2560x1080. More graphics settings would be nice. The thing I hate most about the game...zero stats. Wanna know your best score at Augusta...better write it down on paper, cause you won't find it in the game. Played a course 10 times, and wanna know your average score on Hole 12...again, you have to have transcribed all your hole scores to paper. Want to compare you recent plays to see how you are improving...you can't. This game has potential to be great...but lack of some key features holds it back. A driving range and practice putting green are also lacking. I need lots of practice with my chipping at the green. Would help greatly if it gave you the option to practice, hitting many shots greenside until you figured it out. Changing your golf ball is impossible. After 50 rounds, the only option I have is for the standard ball. In real life I play with a yellow ball, but no options here. You slowly get options for new balls, which cost money. Balls are an expendable resource.. You should have many ball options out of the gate with zero cost to the player. I would give it 2 stars. One taken off for graphics, ball choices, and stats. UPDATE: The game forces you to play with a controller if you play online, so I got a controller. The way they have the swing set up with a controller is stupid. The swing moves so fast that hitting a precise amount of power on the swing is impossible. The putting scale is way too small, almost need a magnifying glass to see it and be precise. They should ditch the interface for the controllers, and make it match the 3-swing method. I find the game unplayable online with the controller method. Unfortunately, online is where you stand the chance to earn money for upgrading your equipment. Since they don't offer money you can buy in their store, the moneymaking process is woefully inadequate. I played Career Mode, and won a PGA tournament...but got zero money/tokens you could spend to upgrade your clubs. After playing 50+ rounds, I still have the same money/tokens that you start the game with

Got this on sale and am running on a good gaming pc on Ultra everything using an Xbox controller. Took a few hours to get figure out how to work thru all the various menus and had to read some tutorials online to get the game going well. Graphics are excellent and I have had zero issue with the game. Now that I have figured out all the variable for game play it's relatively entertaining. Well worth whatever I paid for it. Here's the key...don't run it on a marginal system. The game needs to flow without any frame rate issues to be fun.
