Reviews
Duskfade is an ode to the classic 3D platformers from the PlayStation 2 era in particular. Therefore, a brief review regarding the two main aspects: exploration and combat. The various levels look beautiful, every single one of them. There is great variety, and you can spend hours discovering and collecting everything. Combat is decent, but nothing more than that. The first few hours can feel boring, but as you learn new abilities, the depth increases. So, patience is key. All in all, it remains repetitive due to the attack-dodge-attack dynamics. The boss fights are a positive exception to this. Plus points are world building, exploration, and boss fights. A minor downside is the combat while progressing through the levels, mainly because you have to invest a few hours before it gets going. However, don't let this deter you. All in all, it is a fine game that is absolutely worth the investment for any 3D platformer enthusiast or newcomer.

A love letter to classic action platformers with some kingdom hearts flavor sauce. Not a perfect game but a pretty solid 8.5/10! Also fully playable in 4:3 (although with some text getting cut off) so looks great on a crt monitor. Highly recommend.
Really wanted to like Duskfade but monotone and frequent combat arenas and finicky and floaty platforming combined with mediocre soundtrack, story and characters can't be saved by nice graphics
Un platform che sembra uscito direttamente dall’epoca PS2
I've been following the development of Duskfade for a good while now and I am happy to say that this is a true love letter to the early 2000's era of video games that I grew up playing. Controlling Zirian's movements is pretty fluid and it really shines when it comes to platforming and running around, The music is a delight to listen to and the atmosphere/visuals are very beautifully done. I am a huge fan of how it doesn't waste your time getting into the action, it's a nice breath of fresh air from games that take long for you to start to actually play. If you enjoyed games like Jak and Daxter and Kingdom Hearts, this game was made for you. Well worth the purchase and I hope to see more of Zirian and his adventures.
This game is amazing, it reminds me how much I love platformer adventure games. Lots of people are comparing it to Sly Cooper, my favorite game of all time, and its true, simple fun combat that can be challenging, beautifully thought out environments and smooth skillful traversing. Its such a beautiful game, witty, great world concept, worth every cent I paid. I haven't completed it but I'm noticing a ton of replay/back track value and I can't wait to play more. Wrath as a first boss was amazing and a real wake up call for what's in store. 10/10
I am primarily playing this game on a OLED Steamdeck. So far this game is everything I wanted when they described it like a ps2 era action platformer like Jak and Daxter, Kingdom Hearts, Beyond good and evil and the like. I cannot wait to continue my journey through this beautiful world!
(Early impressions) I don't care much for the story or the main character, but the world is gorgeous, the collect-a-thon gameplay is enjoyable, and levels are fun to explore. Combat is casual, pretty basic and easy (so far, but I can see it gaining some complexity down the line).
