This is a side-scrolling shooting game in which you take control of the "Drainus", the Kharlal Empire's most cutting-edge fighter with the ability to absorb energy bullets, and take down the enemy ships zipping through space.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 9 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Short (~3 hours for a Normal clear) but quite fun! I enjoyed the variety of weapon options, though a refund button wouldn't have gone awry, and the reflector mechanic is fun to get good with. The art really shines to me, with some very striking boss and enemy designs done with really excellent pixel art. The music won't win any awards, but complements the experience well. Similarly, the story serves the gameplay well enough, and I enjoy the twist halfway through, especially with a couple background details you can take note of. I haven't played too many schmups aside from Jamestown, but this was a very enjoyable experience nontheless!

To my knowledge having played Team Ladybug's Record of Lodoss War Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth and Touhou Luna Nights, it would seem that Team Lady Bug doesn't miss with their games. Drainus hits just as hard as those other games, and despite it not being a Metroidvania (rather being a space themed shoot-em-up), the gameplay still feels so similar in terms of tight satisfying fast-paced combat. This game retains the same simple story-telling charm of some of those other titles, and the upgrade and energy absorption systems are very satisfying. My only gripe is perhaps that the end-game super bomb upgrade is way too OP and trivializes any boss fight. Going into spoiler territory,
though a second pass through the levels to get the true ending works for a game this short (to maximize your upgrades to the best builds), I would have liked to see more variety there beyond upping enemy stats and changing dialogue to further emphasize the impact of changing the course of time; and as I mentioned, the final super bomb upgrade trivialized the true final boss
. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this one!
Recomendo!
Great presentation, nice story, and a fantastic upgrade-system make this a very enjoying experience. On normal difficulty it should be manageable for most players to finish it. This is way more approachable than all those frustrating bullet hell shooters.
This was an incredibly frustrating experience. Your hit points are based on power ups (which don’t show up very often). So if you get hit, you get de-powered. And you will get hit because bullets everywhere etc. So all the stuff you unlock, you barely get to use because the game is incredibly difficult. I don’t mind difficult games, but every time you die being kicked back to the basic weapon is just not fun. Sometimes when you respawn, you’ll get a couple of power ups (but never enough to use all your stuff), but most of the time you won’t. Sometimes, the power ups will spawn right next to the left edge of the screen so can’t even collect them. The game does let you buy shields, but they don’t seem to do anything. If they do, the mechanics are really unclear. So just dodge I guess. I’d put the game on easy, but you can’t change difficulty without starting over. Anyway, the game is decent fun, but the power up system is awful. For me. Personally. Maybe the git gud guys will enjoy it.
