Like Genshin Impact but without the shame.
This is a great game but no English dub. Also it is racist. The guy refers to lower life " dark elf" which is racist. Also all the characters have blonde hair and blue eyes that are important. The person in the "church" is a high priestess for the KKK basically. It almost seems like a white supremacist camp. I am white myself but it even looks sus to me. Everyone running around in all white robes. LMAO.

Gotta give respect to Hound13 for duking it out with Webzen, getting shafted, finishing the game with a heavily cut down studio and coming to Steam with a reasonable price tag. The game is simply put a different version of Breath of the Wild with a tiny bit of Genshin sprinkled in for good measure. The combat feels fluid, the soundtrack is good, the story and hero quests have quite a bit of thought put into them, the gacha-style progression feels good while not being too slow or fast. The visuals are alright and something i would expect from an open world gacha title. Not eye candy, but not bad either. The AI translated English subtitles are jarring at times though, but the Korean voice acting is surprisingly really good. There is an improved English translation and English voice acting on the way, so if that's what's holding you from getting the game, wait until those changes come out. Can't think of too much else to say. For 30€, it's worth a pickup if you like open world games. The game does offer quite a bit of content to do, depending on your pace of course.
While the combat is better than most gacha, the core annoyances of its original gacha origin are still present: boring filler quests, intense grinding, mindless chores everywhere on the map and the worst of them all: gated content. Would all be forgivable if the main story wasn't this bland. The main character has a side-character personality and is "outshined" by a shounen-style anti-hero. Not the cool kind of anti-hero, but the loud and obnoxious type.
不用抽卡,可以跳过的二游,还挺不错的。
Playing on an LCD deck, with a mix of low-med graphical settings. Some dips in the city as well as cutscene transitions, but otherwise its been a consistent 40-60 fps Obviously not super far yet, but honestly pleasantly surprised so far. I knew the development history, so I knew more or less what I was getting, but the genuine excitement i felt during the opening segment is like how I felt during a new region launch back when I still regularly played Genshin. Speaking of, that's the obvious comparison a lot of people will and are already making, and it's not *invalid* but it certainly does this game a disservice. First of all, there's no gacha. All 19 characters are unlocked either by progressing the story, or, for certain quest rewards you'll get an invite you can use to pick one of the about 10 characters that were likely meant to be gacha before the game redesign. (Personally I picked the fire fox lady 😍). I don't really understand the rest of the character upgrade systems yet, but it's very similar overall to genshin. A weapon, called "Karma" in this game, 5 gear slots similar to artifacts, a talent tree where everything is upgradable minus the dodge, and what are effectively constellations to power them up substantially. Next is the combat, and... wow. Again, genuinely surprised me. I'm once again going to compare to genshin (im sorry, it's just an easy, well known game). Imagine if, in genshin, every character had 2-3 elements that they were constantly building up, which gave them effectively third and fourth active abilities that appear briefly once that effect triggers. This also allows you to do special moves that instantly swap you to other party members to keep the flow chain going, meaning if you set 3 compatible characters as a party, you will just juggle everyone. It's fast, it's fun, and it's well thought out. Last thing I wanted to mention was the humor. It's very, very intentionally comedic in the early hours. I have so far found it to be charming, as it's all been in-line with the tone of the characters and the world, but i can definitely see it getting a bit old if it's not your type of humor.
A true surprise of a game. They did well to continue it despite cancelling the gacha aspect. I much prefer being able to farm as much as I need when I want it as opposed to the terrible stamina system incorporated by many gachas today. Not to mention the combat feels extremely fun, and the team synergies feel well put together and rewarding. Story is solid so far as well, with plenty to fight and explore in its world so far. Hope to see them continue to expand it.
I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy DragonSword: Awakening as much as I did. The combat is probably my favorite part. It feels fast and satisfying without being overly complicated, and once you get used to the different skills and combos, fighting enemies becomes really fun. There’s a good sense of progression too, since your character gradually gets stronger and you can experiment with different ways to build and play. I also really like the overall atmosphere of the game. The world has a nice fantasy feel to it, and exploring different areas never felt like a chore to me. There are some rough edges here and there, but nothing that ruined my experience. The game definitely isn’t perfect, but I think it has a lot of charm. If you enjoy action RPGs with fantasy elements, exploration, character progression, and flashy combat, I’d say it’s worth giving a shot. For me, it was money well spent. 👍
