Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

genuinely one of the most colorful and fun loving rpgs ive ever played
经典王道热血,就爱看这样的。前两章完全沉浸式看番,第三章有较多重复跑图与刷刷刷内容稍微有点破坏沉浸感
+ Strong points: - Sensational art direction! - Beautiful cities - Engaging characters - The classic Dragon Quest atmosphere - The crafting system is truly engaging - Varied team combos - Classic gameplay - The possibility of alternating between the 3D and the 2D - Weak points: - Archaic presentation - Not the most inspired Dragon Quest game - The horse races are utterly bland - A soundtrack below the series' usual standards - The menus still lack user-friendliness Summary: Dragon Quest XI S does what it does best: tell funny and touching stories within a heroic fantasy setting. Fans of old-school JRPGs will be delighted by a title that makes no compromises when it comes to delivering a classic experience. Sometimes a bit over the top? Undoubtedly, but that's also part of its charm. With its charismatic characters, simple yet effective combat, and breathtaking art direction, it stands out as a truly excellent experience, especially recommended for fans of the genre and those looking for a lighthearted adventure. 16/20

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

A fabulous, lengthy, comfy JRPG with fun characters and a good story (after the first act). JRPG comfort food. Can't go wrong.

Bought on a whim during a sale. I'm a long time FF fan and this was my first DQ game. Enjoyed every minute of the 100 hours.
I originally purchased this version because the base game suffered from constant crashes that were never patched. I expected a more stable, refined experience, but instead, this feels like a significant regression. Not only are the graphics a noticeable downgrade from the original, but key features like the quest navigation bar have been completely removed. It should have been made optional, not deleted entirely. While the modding community is already working on fixes, it shouldn't be the fans' responsibility to repair a product that the developers sold as a "fixed" version. If you’ve played the original and are considering this version, proceed with caution. While some fans might try to convince you this is the definitive edition, it’s a significant downgrade in several areas. It is technically more stable, yes—but it lacks the graphical detail and features that made the original special. Don't let the "improved stability" talk distract you from what’s been lost.
I can't stomach this one anymore - I've been trying to beat this game ever since it came out. The story writing goes from really great main story beats to complete intern-level drivel. I got whiplash going from story beat to story beat. Once I realized that it wasn't going to change no matter how many hours I sunk into it waiting for it to 'get better', I decided to move on. I watched the million cutscenes on YT and....except for the final 2 mins of the true ending, I honestly didn't miss much. I wont spoil anything, but the story mechanic of Act 2 and 3 is so lame, and how act 3 impacts act 2, sigh. Other quick thoughts - the music is fine but forgettable (they reuse so many songs, it honestly feels like there are 12 songs in the game), the combat is what we have come to expect from DQ after 8. I wish they would have put in a FF button or something or allow text to be sped up - it just drags from a time perspective. I also have to mention how much Dragon Ball is ripped off throughout this game. I cant recommend this game, everyone's backlog is massive at this point, go play something else.
more mixed than negative, but I can't say the time I spend with this game was worth it. Would have probably been a fun 40 hour game, but boy everything just stretches on far too long. If you want something purely for playtime it's decent, but if you're like me and want a well told story or engaging gameplay I can't recommend it.
