Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best JP #37, worst KR #80 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Its a good game. God I love Dragon Quest.
Game is a pretty easy even on the highest difficulty settings, but provides an excellent cozy/relaxing RPG experience. The puns are alive and well and the moonlighting mechanic cuts down on the job level grinding by quite a lot compared to other entries.
First of all I'm a Dragon Quest fan. Even though there's some omissions from the original, DQ7R is still a welcomed addition to the franchise. I love the artstyle that was used in this reimagined version. I love 3D style more than the hd 2d. I'm hoping moving forward Square Enix will remake other entries in this style. But the real question is WHERE IS DRAGON QUEST XII?

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.5/day in the week to Aug 5 → 3.57/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

muito bom
Incroyable aventure du début à la fin, JRPG of the year ! :)
I normally don't play remakes if I already played the original; too many games, not enough time. Of course, if the remake is substantially different, to the point where it is closer to being a new game, this doesn't hold. DQ7R certainly is a substantial glow up but the difference lies more in what was removed rather than what is new. I played Dragon Warrior 7 on Playstation and it was my first Dragon Quest game. It had a well crafted world and great story telling, blending colorful, almost candy like aesthetics and silly humor with some rather dark themes. The referential frame, or subgenre within the larger fantasy genre, would best be characterized as fairytale, but not the dumbed down version for kids, but rather the folktales that were told to adults. Visually it's quite modern, comic book style. The gameplay was leaning on grinding and managing resources to raise your levels effectively. Or spend a lot of time failing to do so. That wasn't at the time what I was looking for in RPGs, and although some games like DQX and FF Mobius made me appreciate this kind of RPG gameplay challenge, I really don't enjoy it today either. If RPGs had gameplay that I appreciated, it would be of the kind where you can use strategy to skip grinding and defeat bosses at lower levels. Or really just allow me to progress to experience the story at a good pace. So while DQ7 was my first DQ, it wasn't the first I cleared. Because I gave up on 7 at the last dungeon, after struggling to get to the last boss and not defeating him. The first DQ I beat was Dragon Warrior 4 for NES; it isn't actually any less grindy, but shorter and I still had the energy to do the last dungeon maybe 10 times until I finally beat that one. Thankfully in DQ you retain your experience even when you wipe, but no save points inside dungeons means starting over from the entrance every time. I finally beat DQ7 years later, the boss suddenly being much easier. I think my younger brother maybe had used my save to grind for me. Anyway, despite DQ7's undeniable qualities, it was so tiring to put me off from playing RPGs in that style almost entirely. In this remake, the story was streamlined to move at a much quicker pace. Many things were cut, some entire towns and scenarios. Some things were added as well. But the most important difference is the game being quite easy on the default difficulty setting, with save points in dungeons and quick auto battles. I also love how you can defeat weaker enemies without actually switching to the battle screen, just striking them down in one blow, which makes grinding actually fun as it feels more like an action game. A really easy one. Even with all the cuts and quicker battles, it still is fairly long but not tiring like the original. It has enough visual and narrative variety to be enjoyable from start to finish. But the main reason why I played this remake is that it runs great with UEVR. Even better than DQ11S, which is one of the best RPG experiences I had in VR. Everything that already was good about DQ7 is even better, and the dolls moving around in the diorama spaces is visually out of this world. DQ always had top notch monster animations too and they look stunning in VR. I now hope that other DQ before 7 get the same remake treatment. This extends to older FF games and the rumoured FF9 remake now seems like a must play (if it is UE4 and runs as well as this in VR).
I haven’t played previous DQ7 versions, so I can’t comment on cut content. Based on this game alone, it’s not very challenging but still enjoyable and worth the price. If you're on the fence about it maybe wait for a sale when the price is knocked down to $30-$40.
