This is a fun mystery dungeon game. There is some kind of system lag with the UI and some kind of latency issue. Think the dev can patch this in the near future.
i like Torneko Taloon from Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen he is nice

don't buy... maybe once they fix issues but even then it's hard pass.
I love this game, and I cannot be objective about it because of that love. I enjoy old school Rogue-like roguelikes, and this is a game with slightly janky controls and a willingness to just let the randomness obliterate you. Thing is, if you like that kind of thing? You will love this game. It's a classic, it's charming, and it's very one-more-run replayable. I don't know that it's for everyone, but it's for ME, and other sickos like me, so if you're that kind of sicko, grab it now.
I have to agree with most of the negative reviews already posted about this one. Gameplay feels sluggish, far worse than even the SNES original. If the developer fixes this, I'd say maybe give it a shot if there's a hefty discount offered. Otherwise, support the Shiren series or play Torneko: The Last Hope on the PS1 instead (it's extremely good).
Holy smokes, I never expected this shadow-drop!! I thought Mystery Dungeons were 'taken over' by Shiren and Pokemon. The Torneko ones are my favorite, and I LOVE the simplicity of it; no monster recruting, no party-member combat. Torneko, the DQ IP, the music is so freaking charming! I thought this would be a a "emulator-wrap" port, but surprised that its a "HD-2D-Lite" with 3D backgrounds like the DS. The opening cutscene is wonderful, and wide-screen presentation. The original SNES version is more charming with its pure 16-Bit visuals, but I also like the Remake visuals as they're closer to Torneko The Last Hope on PS1. The PS1 game is my favorite in the trilogy, and I was secretly hoping they would of added the post-game Classes to this 'remake' but sadly, nothing like that. I loved this game: and highly recommend it for folks who can still tolerate playing through "pure-simple" JRPG and CRPGs like Dragon Warrior 1 and Ultima IV. There is definitely still progression, the Shop upgrades, and through Evac Scrolls, you can slowly build your Equipment up!
