It's such an enjoyable game to surrender hours of your life to. Very easy and relaxing with enough depth you can continue to learn strategy to maximize your score. Putting the little pieces together is so satisfying. There is also a sandbox mode for people who don't want to worry about score. I don't think I have any negative points for this game at all other than I wish there was a mobile version because when I am out and about waiting in a line or something, I wish I was playing Dorfromantik!

Emotionaler Zustand: Zwischen Entzücken und dienstlicher Empörung Dorfromantik ist ein wunderbares Spiel. Wirklich. Entspannung pur, hübsche Landschaften, friedliche Musik – und dann kommt der Moment, in dem ich als alter Eisenbahner plötzlich schreiend vom Stuhl springe, weil die Züge im Spiel einfach… auf der Stelle umdrehen. Ich wiederhole: [b]Die Lok. Dreht. Auf. Dem. Gleis. Um.[/b] Ich weiß, es ist ein gemütliches Puzzlespiel und kein Eisenbahnsimulator, aber jedes Mal, wenn die Lokomotive im 180‑Grad‑Moonwalk über die Schienen schwebt, höre ich in meinem Kopf die Stimme eines EBA‑Prüfers, der langsam und enttäuscht seine Brille absetzt. Wie es eigentlich laufen müsste Eine Lokomotive kann nicht einfach „mal eben“ auf dem Gleis drehen wie ein Einkaufswagen. Dafür gibt es: • Drehscheiben • Wendeschleifen • Umsetzfahrten • Spitzkehren • Rangierfahrten mit Fahrtrichtungswechsel Und das ist nicht nur Eisenbahner‑Romantik, das ist Vorschrift. Das Eisenbahn-Bundesamt beschreibt in seinen Regelwerken (z. B. in den Abschnitten zu Rangierfahrten, Fahrtrichtungswechseln und Betriebsverfahren) ziemlich eindeutig, dass Fahrzeuge nur in dafür vorgesehenen Anlagen oder durch definierte Fahrmanöver die Richtung ändern dürfen. Eine spontane 180‑Grad‑Drehung auf offener Strecke würde dort vermutlich unter „nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Betrieb“ fallen – und das ist die höfliche Formulierung. Mein Fazit Dorfromantik bleibt ein wunderschönes Spiel. Aber jedes Mal, wenn die Lok sich auf dem Gleis dreht wie ein Breakdancer auf einem Stadtfest, fühle ich mich innerlich verpflichtet, eine kleine EBA‑Sonderprüfung einzuleiten.

This is a great game to play if you just want to sit on your couch with your steamdeck. Usually I'll just watch a background Netflix show while playing, which helps big time with wife approval. Playing games while also being able to hang out with her and pay attention to what she's doing is fantastic.

Honestly, bought a bundle, this was in it and I love it. LOL, it's very addictive.
This is a chill game, you can put tiles in different places that come up, be it train tracks , river or lake pieces, houses or fields. There is also meadows and special pieces like boars in the forests, swans, deer as well as beavers and their dwellings, also I have seen beaver dams that block the way of boats, and yes there are tiles with boats and trains that run the routes you set up as tiles come up in a pile of tiles. There is a creative mode for those who chose not to earn there tiles. Sometimes I will use that mode when i run out of tiles when I have not completed some of the missions, but I like the map I have created. I bought in a bundle and am happily surprised.
