Door Kickers: Action Squad

Got this on a sale, expecting it to provide 'some' fun, but no, it's a an absolute blast, and criminally addictive!! - Absolutely love it, and each time I try to play for 30 mins, it becomes a fun 2-3 hour session, only stopped due to having to get other stuff done (real life sucks, ha ha!)... Absolutely love the homage to the low pixel games era, and the soundtrack is awesome - love the music tracks on their own, but they accompany the game action perfectly! All I can say is if you enjoyed tactical shoot-em-up games like Deadbolt, Hotline Miami etc, get this NOW! Well done to the dev(s) for what is obviously a labour of love project... ...and well done also, for making non-linear progress levels where possible! - I've had tremendous fun tackling the same levels differently, and even some randomly (and sometimes hilarious to me) unintentional stuff happening during a run, that I could not even have predicted, due to lucky timings and equipment combos, in conjunction with the many gameplay mechanisms - seriously good fun, with an element of sandbox play even, in that respect! Door-kickin' with someone behind it never gets old! - PS - Don't be me! - I played 1/3 of the game before remembering that even basis wooden doors can be forcefully kicked open (not just opened), using "F", to smack bad guys behind those, out of the way too!
