Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0.86/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Jul 20 → 1.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game on par with the 1st one but much less horror and more of a arcade shooter type game.

It's okay. It's more of an action game and less of a survival horror. It's much more fast-paced than DC1 so if you like arcade style action you'll like this game. It's overall weaker than DC1 is every way, though. The story is weaker, the game is shorter, there are less exploration, less puzzles, less suspense, less horror, less characters, and overall less things to find and do. There are more guns and ammo and enemies and you're expected to literally run through each map blasting your way through. There aren't much suspense because you can expect three dinosaurs to pop out at any given moment. There's no time to breathe, explore, or observe the environment and fabricate your own imagination as to what happened. My first run through was 3.5hours. I was waiting for more story or things to happen but it just ended. Not much happens and the story is weak. 95% of the game is just spamming fire as you collect points to be able to spam more fires. It gets a bit repetitive without a good foundation why you are doing it. The auto aim can be frustrating, working maybe half the time and the other half making you shoot nothing as a dino tackles you or grabs onto your face. Dino placements are absurd, you can kill two dinos, turn the corner, and two more appears right where you last footstep was... out of thin air, it makes no sense. The lack of consistency and cohesion with spawn points make it a bit comical. I think there might be like one puzzle in the entire game, the rest being minigames, things you're required to do instead of solving. The pacing is also atrocious. One room, you fight 20 dinos, the next room you fight 10 new enemies, then the next room another 10 new enemies. They just throw it all at you. They don't put much into slowly or properly ushering them in. Overall 7/10. It's decent but not great but still cool because you get to blast a ton of dinosaurs. I wished they'd focus more on the survival horror aspects, though.
The entire game is just you being attacked by enemies spawning offscreen for 4 hours.
Different from the first game. More focus on action and running and gunning which i think for a game of this length was fun. 7/10
"They took out the slow doors, turned up the red-dot sights, and asked: what if extinction was a high score?" People talk about Resident Evil like it’s the only child Capcom ever loved, but Dino Crisis 2 was the cool sibling who stole the keys, put on sunglasses, and jumped a motorcycle over a pack of velociraptors. Capcom looked at the first game—where you tiptoed around a single T-Rex like it was a very large, scaly librarian—and said, "No. Give Regina an anti-tank rocket launcher and let her backpedal-strafe." The genius of this game isn't just that it throws a prehistoric ecosystem at you; it’s that it rewards you for styling on them. The Extinction Point system is pure psychological warfare against your own restraint: do you run past the raptors, or do you stand your ground, chain a 15-kill combo without taking a scratch, and use the payout to buy a heavy-duty heavy machine gun that turns a Triceratops into a bad memory? It’s a pure, uncut arcade adrenaline rush stitched into the skin of a B-movie sci-fi time-travel plot. Dylan gets a machete and an assault rifle. Regina handles business with style. The underwater segments alter the flow, the physics feel crisp, and the pacing never once stops to let you get bored. And now, this modern Steam port actually works out of the box with clean rendering options, modern controllers, and zero hassle. No fan-patch wizardry required—just pure, unadulterated reptile deletion. 10/10. Would launch a rescue mission into the Cretaceous period just to feed a Giganotosaurus a satellite laser again.
