For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

As with most roguelikes, starts off really strong until there's content to unlock. Then just gets harder without any new content. On the last level the opponent just 1 shots you when their turn comes. No way to influence it, unless you can 1 shot him on the first turn.
Vs death is fine, mostly, pinnacles are horrible, AI doesn't know how to play the builds it is playing, some matchups are impossible, with all the RNG you can get, with restarting until perfect start (because of 9000 IQ design decision to tie rerolling to a single item), every route available (around 90% items unlocked), which I have been doing for the past 6 hours (soldier 1 vs healer), cannot be done. I'm also 99% sure the rolls are not random, can't be bothered to write anecdotes but my pattern recognition is pretty solid at this point. There is also eternity or whatever it's called, which I never actually played, that should probably be the core infinite-loop mode, which I don't see a reason to play without everything unlocked, because of my past experiences of getting bent while my opponents pick a 3rd legendary dice out of their rectum in 6th round (pretty sure it's impossible for player to even find one in the pool that early), with every exact item to counter whatever I build, and that grind consists of beating either death or a matchup you know you'll win for like 50ish times, obviously not happening at this point. As it is now - nope.

Dice with death is a good idea and is close to to being a well balanced game, but its not without its bugs and OP characters. If you are looking for a challenge then the Soldier and the Healer classes are best. The Witch and the Adventurer are very OP. From the start of round 1 I didn't even need to worry about fumbling my dice or what I was rolling as I knew Death couldn't catch up. Adventurers armour makes it impossible for Death to do anything. The witch, points mean nothing. So you can just spam doubles to help charge your spells and you'll be fine. There is no title screen which felt odd. The graveyard at first didnt open full screen but acted like it was. So selecting options became difficult. Once rebooted it loaded full screen but the shop and another grave near the adventurer don't appear when you hover your mouse over them. It plays the sound but no prompts to say what it is. The game has no tutorial and it is defaulted to play at max speed. So trying to figure out and make sense of whats going on what a pain until I found the option to slow it back down to normal speed. Death gives you a basic premise of roll dice and bank them. But thats all the info you get. So prepare to figure the rest out. Its much easier to learn when at normal speed. At max speed all the text vanishes in less than a second. Lastly the artwork on some of the items you collect do not match the artwork of the game. It looks almost cheap 3D rendered whereas the rest is pixel art. Seemed very odd to me. Despite all this there is a good structure here. It just need to go back in the oven for a bit longer and be rebalanced.
Sadly, not worth it. The premise is neat for a dice game but the interface is in no way intuitive (and the in-game explanation is about trinkets only, not strategies, so you just have to lose a lot to get the hang of it). The path is singular; the opening menu says "choose" but you don't get to choose anything about your character until you beat several levels, so you're going to be hanging out as the soldier for a while. The artistry is good but the game itself is too much sleuthing for me. Death can keep the dice, I'm uniterested.
My first Dicebuilding roguelike game and it is great! Love the music and the art. The dialogues are nice and Death is a good bloke. For the price I would have liked a little more content and variety but you'll probably get a good 5-10h of fun out of it. Maybe more seeing some of the reviews (especially if you're an achievment hunter).
Gutes Spiel für zwischendurch, oder auch mal eine längere Partie. Solides Game, hab es verbilligt gekauft, und bereue daher den Kauf nicht.
https://youtu.be/E9rBCVvHkAA Based around the 'push your luck' premise that is never mechanically viable. Gameplay stalls out very quickly.
Core game loop is fun, but held back by bugs. Ended up refunding the game, but would be willing to pick it up again later if the bugs get ironed out.
It's exactly what's on the tin: A dice rolling game with death. The concept is fun but unfortunately getting through 7 rounds per match can take a bit. The settings menu is poorly optimized as well, at times they'd reset mid-match and I'd be jumpscared by the sudden volume increase as for some reason the game is quite loud by default, Death's text noise especially so. The gameplay itself is pretty simple though I wish it was explained somewhat visually rather than through dialogue. The first 6 rounds were also incredibly easy but the difficulty shot up on round 7 as I was suddenly taking 200+ damage, but its entirely possible I might just be bad at the game lol... If you like what you see on the store page and don't mind anything I've mentioned then by all means buy the game. I just don't really see myself recommending this game to anyone I know, especially if it remains unpolished like this.
Not enough options to customise to make it interesting. Compared to something like Balatro where you can customise a whole deck and jokers and planets there just doesn't feel like enough variety in this. Beat the game the first time wasn't impressed. Refunded.
