Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.57/day in the week to Aug 24 → 10.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This game had the same budget as a homeless man has for dinner or had horrible deadlines. I dont know which it had all i know is it had a bad development. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate dmc 4 and it made me miserable to play but I will say I think this game has the most fun dante in dmc games ive played (small portion of 1, and all of 3, 4, and 5). I am by no means good at this or any other dmc games but the general gameplay in this game feels great. The story is alright I guess. Nero is cool although a bit annoying at times and dante is the highlight. The order of the sword is a cool concept until you realize the only one you'll end up caring about even slightly is Agnes and thats only because he's entertaining unlike the rest of them (like 3 others and one of them is Trish in disguise). I find Kyrie to be a nothing character that serves only as Neros driving force for most of his actions and basically nothing more. The enemy design is like genuinely anti fun. It's like they looked at the angels in dmc 3 (the ones that phases through the wall) and said "hmm how could we make enemies even more annoying to fight than this. URETHRA! I know just what to do! Let's copy the angels phasing through walls and make you fight that enemy a million times and give it 2 variants!" That's not even mentioning the fish, the weird camo octopus, the weird flower things, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blitz and all the other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The only enjoyable enemies are the order of the sword enemies and they are not nearly good enough to make up for the ♥♥♥♥ that is the rest of this games enemies. Boss fights are not great. The fire one is cool i actually like that one. The plant and frog are alright not good not horrible. Credos fight isnt bad not much to say there. Agnes lab fight is awful and boring but that barely counts as a boss fight. Agnes bee form is alright not bad or anything. Now on the other hand THE SANCTUS BOSS FIGHTS ARE SOME OF THE WORST BOSS FIGHTS IVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. GENUINELY WHAT WERE THEY THINKING WITH ALL 3 OF THESE THEY ARE ALL TERRIBLE THE GIANT STATUE IS HORRENDOUS AND THE 2 PROPER SANCTUS FIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY BAD TOO. Now onto the biggest issue. The second half of this game is the first half of the game but you play as dante. Dante is great in this game but it does not make up for having you do the exact same thing you've just been doing for the past 4 and a half hours over again. You fight the same bosses over again except for the statue, sanctus, and credo with no difference. The environments are almost exactly the same with a few new enemies being introduced but they aren't good to begin with so it doesn't help. Now once you get past all that replaying the game as dante stuff you get to play nero again in the final couple missions. So you'd think after having fought the same bosses twice already they'd make some new ones right? Right??? NOPE THEY FORCE YOU TO DO A BOSS RUSH AND FIGHT EVERY BOSS EXCEPT FOR SANCTUS AGAIN IN A ROLL THE DICE MINIGAME THING. THEY COULDNT FIGURE OUT HOW TO PAD OUT THE RUN TIME BY DOING LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE SO THEY JUST MAKE YOU FIGHT THE SAME BOSSES OVER AND OVER AGAIN. This moment was my absolute last straw with the game and set my feelings in stone. DMC4 is like if halo combat evolved was a bad game. I love DMC to death but I will not pretend to like this game. I hate this game I will probably replay it in 10 years and come to the same conclusion. Best thing to come of this game is dead weights introduction. (plz make another dmc game capcom)
Everyone knows the notorious nature of this game, it's incomplete. Dante's has only 8 missions and he backtracks through the same levels that we went through as Nero. Dante's kit, even with full styles and all 6 weapons, feels notably nerfed and weak, and it's clear that the enemies were not designed for Dante. I recommend the game to anyone who loves the franchise and wants to experience Devil May Cry fully. If you're just about to get into the franchise, I'd recommend starting with 1 and 3 instead. It's definitely worth a try, but be warned.
Another good DMC game, but unfortunately the worst PC port I've ever dealt with. No competition. Semi-frequent crashing and harsh slowdown during hectic combat only solved by hex editing and putting the game through a patcher. Even then, just like with the HD Collection, there's lots of keyboard bugs that make the game barely playable even when using the horrible default binds. This all makes the game very difficult to enjoy, which hurts to say since there's a lot to like, despite its incomplete nature. An utterly embarrassing display from Capcom, like usual. Best Enemy: Mephisto Best Boss: Angelo Credo Worst Enemy: Chimera Worst Boss: Window Agnus

Finally u fixed DMC4, well done capcom
to be fair Dmc3 has the best combat and Dmc1 in my opinion is the best Dmc combat wise and lore wise but Dmc 4 ( special edition ) is also beautiful and its Lore wise important just make sure to play the Vergil campaign cause technically its the beginning of the whole story in the Dmc franchise a so fun fact is you can actually change the style of your combat during the Dante campaign which is not available in Dmc3 for pc without mods
VIDEO TO FIX THE GAME SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY PLAY: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K05bxhMkd3c&t=17s&pp=ygUIZG1jNCBmaXg%3D releasing in a state where you literally cant play without fixing it is definitely unexcusable, but when it takes like 5 minutes max with a tutorial it's not a biggie for me personally honestly overhated, while there's definitely a lot of gaps that are questionable in the story
how the ♥♥♥♥ did they get yamato? when the ♥♥♥♥ did trish hand over DSS?
and kyrie kinda just, exists. i still had a blast coming from DMC3:SE and did enjoy the story overall (dante/nero and agnus carried, I wish credo got more time) dmc4 is WAY easier than dmc3 and i find that it's not even close, but that's mostly a result of nero being inherently easy (snatch ) or the fact you're just faster compared to DMC3, so take this as you will doing it in reverse is a little boring, but it's not really the worst 5 is up next on the chopping block, so i'll see if my thoughts on this game change whatsoever
