Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 11.43/day in the week to Aug 29 → 21.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

incredible. every aspect of this game is incredible. immediately sucked into a thrilling story. played this game alongside a friend, which didn't take away from the puzzles or story in the slightest. it was like solving an online escape room, each puzzle, art piece, and musical piece so intricate and well crafted i think on it and feel emotional. everyone who worked on this game should feel immensley proud of what they created, what a charming and captivating game.

Very stylish and at times very heartfelt
[/strike]
Highly Recommend. The overarching story is both shown and told without being spoonfed to the player and maintains it seriousness and depth. Just enough "horror" to be creepy and unsettling but still playable. The puzzles are challenging and engaging. I appreciate the option to have the CRTV graphics on or off. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and will be replaying and recommending it to all of my friends.
Absolutely amazing experience - the puzzles were just difficult enough to not breeze through them but also not frustrate you. Like many others have said, this does not complain jumpscares - the horror is purely from the story and ambiance. A beautifully told tale. I can only recommend it!
2 kez oyunu bitirdim ve tüm başarımları yaptım. Gerçekten güzel düşünülmüş bulmacalarla dolu. Sadece bir kaç bulmacada biraz kafanız ağrıyabilir ama onun dışında çoğu şeye dikkat eden biriyseniz rahatça çözersiniz aşırı bir zorluğu yok. Bulmacalara kafa yormayı seven insanlara öneririm.
Well that was certainly a game of all time. I had issues on my Steam Deck, the story wasn't interesting but it did not actively offend me, developers stuck the landing on the ending, the puzzles are intriguing for at least half the game, and they went an interesting direction with narrative framing. For this reason, I award Desktop Explorer a passable 9/10. This game absolutely cannot be completed on a Steam Deck. The last "level" involves a terminal and the on-screen keyboard pops up at every opportunity, whether you're typing or clicking or sneezing or breathing or being conscious. I got no response on the discussion boards when I complained so I assume either everyone is smarter than me and figured this out, or no one played this on a Deck. None of the puzzles ever resulted in an incredible "aha" moment, but for the first half of the game they were just clever enough to get me across the finish line because I kept believing they'd get better. They did not. In what seems to be a recurring problem for clever mystery games, developers ran out of actual puzzles and just started throwing HOMEWORK
nonograms, mazes, code breaking, chess(ish)
and whatever else at you after the game's midway point. Big let down. I can't say the story was mind-blowing. It was exceedingly Standard Issue Horror Game and never really committed to anything. Despite very much embodying the spirit of Great Value horror centrism, I *was* impressed with how much Desktop Explorer bucked narrative framing stereotypes typical of spooky in-game computer (IDK what the kids call it now) games. Stereotypes bucked: (1) jump scares is plot (2) violence against women is plot (3) everyone is white (4) main character is either not gendered or is male (5) the internet works (6) the only mental illnesses are schizophrenia and depression This also kept me intrigued enough to get to the ending because I expected a payoff. Desktop Explorer didn't let me down there and I was happy with how things ended, so kudos to developers for sticking the landing.
-Gameplay bem funcional, simples e fluida. Lotado de mistérios e pistas para desvendá-los. -Estética sensacional, bem fiel a época e atmosfera imersiva.

ENGLISH
(I already said this about the demo, but the final game still carries the same incredible level of quality and passion. It's simply an outstanding adventure, please give it a try)
I Highly recommended it for anyone who enjoys puzzle and mystery games!
-Simple, smooth, and well-designed gameplay, packed with mysteries and clues to uncover. -Stunning visuals that stay true to the time period, creating a highly immersive atmosphere. -Interactive and completely unpredictable puzzles, which is a huge plus in my opinion. -An excellent soundtrack and musical score that make the experience even more immersive. If you enjoy solving mysteries and feeling like you're truly part of the game's world, this is an absolute must-play. Very few games have made me feel the same emotions as the characters in the story, and this is definitely one of them. Thank you so much for the opportunity and I hope to see and experience more games from this talented team.
Me and my viewers LOVE THE GAME. But AAAAA MY IMAGINATION HATES THE CABLES MINIGAME. Detective quest from Maxime part is PEAK tho. Im #1 guppy part hater. especially chess and labirynth puzzle. Tho. Game definitely 9/10
