Eliminate private housing, fund obvious dirt cheap socialist programs like the postal service and food for children, win. No, seriously. I have never lost a single game under any condition or difficulty so long as I did that at the start. The game was fun until I learned this one simple trick, and now I am a Maoist. 10/10, would abolish landlords again.
The game is okay, if not truly a political sim. It’s too easy and allows you to change things to quickly. For example I played the us, and within 1 election cycle completely eliminated the opposing party, pushed GDP to the artificial cap of 36 trillion, while all but eliminating liberals and socialist. By the second election I basically made myself king with the elimination of term limits. So I tried playing it the opposite way on 150 percent difficulty. Basically same thing. So the Uk is high hardness, so basically crated a police state, while being capitalistic, and socialist (opposites by the way). Had a surplus before the first election and eliminated the opposing party by the third election. This is at 200% difficulty. First election I had a coalition, but nothing even remotely close after that. Don’t know, seems very unrealistic and a press whatever button you want game.

I dont really get the purpose of this game. I played two nations. The felt the same and were both incredibly easy. On my first two runs i fixed the economy and scored 100% approval in one of the elections. 100%! In the US - banning weapons means nothing to the public. Making public education slightly more laizistic on the other hand will create a religious terrorist group. GDP will cap at a certain threshold and .... i dont know....what is is the purpose or goal of playing this? Unless you specifically wanna create an abysmal hellhole for some reasons its just a "do what you want for an hour" simulator. Soooo. Just for good measure i started another game as the UK: Same result. Took me two terms to erase gov debt, start a mars program and erase poverty. What is the challenge?
This a Sim City, Capitalism style of game but on politics, on running a country and dealing with all thinkable political challenges, taking decisions and living with the effect of the policies. Very entertaining, enlightening and educational.
more of a puzzle game than any kind of actual political commentary on running a government. just find the right things to tweak over a few games and then start a new one, balance your budget, tweak and watch your nation flourish and solve all of societies issues. 6/10 also, developer was rude to me when i reached out. not knock on the game as much as them though. still can be entertaining.
I think you need to be a very specific type of person to enjoy a game like this and I just happened to be that person. The main negative thing I can say about the game is that the outcomes of certain policies just don't feel realistic at all, and sometimes a bit of bias is shown - although that much is unfortunately just inevitable,
The developer is a very nice person and has spent lots of time and effort to create this amazing game WITH FULL MOD SUPPORT! he even posted tutorials on his youtube channel. The base game is very fantastic but to offer all these features the game is a must have. The democratic simulation is very realistic and the game is actually fun while being challenging and realistic all at the same time. I really appreciate the effort it must have taken to do this. Please get this game you will have the time of your life especially if you like policics or simulations
Very fun game, takes me back to when bad political decisions had consequences
