DELTARUNE

I’m writing this review almost 3 weeks after the release of chapter 5, and I just have to say this game is by far the best thing I’ve ever played. You almost never see ANY piece of media consistently pump out a banger that somehow manages to blow the previous game/movie/season. (A good example of what I’m trying to explain is chainsaw man. Part 1 being good but then falling off.) However, with deltarune I have not felt this way once. Toby Fox has managed to make each chapter so much better than the last. All he has to do now is stick the landing for this game and it will go down easily as the best game I have ever played. I could play this game multiple times and never get tired of it. The game feels like it has so much replay ability I have about 45 hours in the game as of now (15 on steam 30 on switch) and I feel like I could still keep playing and never get tired of it. Even after getting all of the eggs, fighting all secret bosses, and playing all of side B. Part of why I love this game so much is definitely because of how much I adored undertale as a kid. If I could go back in time 10 years ago and show my younger self chapter 5 he would probably have a heart attack on the spot. And what’s so funny to is if you asked me what I thought of deltarune 2 years ago I would say “it’s pretty good but not really better than undertale.” But once chapters 3 and 4 got released holy ♥♥♥♥ I was hooked. I could go on and on about how much I love deltarune but I’m just gonna write one more paragraph. I really really really want to see this game until its end. I think it should be required by law to play this game. I love every little bit this game has to offer. The characters, music, gameplay, story, just everything makes me feel happy and alive. I will wait as long as it takes for chapters 6 and 7 to release, and I will be there day 1 of their release.
