couple of point here. 1- the jousting is horrible. very difficult to control and I think the original C64 did a better job. 2- Siege has RNG in it. if you have a catapult set right why RNG? 3- Viking attack in turn 2? it was designed originally to not to let you hoard big amounts of cash not to cost you the game on turn two. this game does not have a large map and you will realize if you are going to lose or win in just a couple of turns. the beauty of the original game was everything in between. Playable jousting, raids, sexuality feeling of the saxon lady rescue and so on. all around goof that they made a decision to remake this. super nostalgic. make it better please.
das alte Defender nochmals in neu.... dachte ich, Retromodus ist super! Das alte Defender halt, aber Klassikmodus ist echt nicht meins! Wie soll man bitte das Turnier gewinnen? Wer hat sich das ausgedacht? Die Lanze zappelt über den Bildschirm, bevor man was machen will ists schon vorbei... naja Das Truppen bewegen usw. ist ungewöhnlich aber ich denke das bekomme ich noch hin, vielleicht. Werde es jetzt erst nochmal im Retromodus spielen, der alten Zeiten wegen! ;-D

Anfangs ist das Spiel echt super, aber wenn man dann das Spiel mit den Würfel und Karten spielt wird es witzlos. Bin beim 2ten Diamanten und fange aber noch schlechter an wie am Anfang. Nix mit gesammelten Karten. Ich verliere gegen normale Räuber. Hab keine Karten zum Angriff und zur Verteidigung. Was noch dazu kommt, ist, dass der Gegner mehr Befehle hat und das obwohl ich, ich sag mal ein höheres lvl hab. Klar werden die auch stärker aber von meinem erkämpften Gier habe ich null. Entweder bin ich dumm(dann entschuldige ich mich über das was ich geschrieben habe), oder man kann die gewonnenen Karten wirklich nicht mitnehmen. Selbst die Einheiten die man sich erkämpft und frei schaltet ändern sich bei jeder neuen Karte. Wie anfangs gesagt, jetzt steh ich nackt da. Schlechte Karten und zu wenig Befehle. Wenn ich falsch liege, dann sagt mir Bitte bescheid denn ich mag das Spiel. Danke

It's a great little nostalgic game.
I remember playing the playstation version of this game back in the day and was curious how the original game would go and I have to say that I was not impressed. This is not a strategy game at all its is a rush game where the goal is the quickly rush the enemy leaders castle, win and take all their lands. Because of this there is not strategy in the game it is just quickly rush the catapult, attack the enemy HQ, get loads of money from taking all their land and quickly rush to the others down to win.

A fun game, even if you haven't played the original (I haven't). Charming visuals and gameplay that is engaging and varied enough. I can't overstate how beautiful it looks to play. So far I'm very happy I purchased it, and at the pricepoint it's perfect. I haven't played the roguelike mode but I've heard mixed things - some people like it, but some others don't. I imagine I will like it even if it's a bit simple, because the game is cheap and full of soul.
Este juego lo jugaba cuando era chico, pasé semanas tratando de ganarlo junto a mi primo, usando los disco de 5 1/4, jajaja ¡¡que antigüedad!! la versión actual respeta muy bien el juego original, tan bien que hasta los trucos aprendidos hace tanto tiempo (mas de 25 años) aún funcionan, pero en los tiempos actuales no se si es un desafío para algún jugador experimentado en juegos de estrategia, la modalidad reino ofrece una variante de construcción de mazo pero ni aún así se vuelve interesante. Quizás podrían hacer que la IA genere contra ataques y no solo que espere a ser atacada, es un juego sencillo que generando algunos cambios podría ser interesante en los tiempos acutales.
