Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.71/day in the week to Aug 19 → 13.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

New Game Mode - Kingdoms - Now Playable!
“This squalid Kingdom, these corrupted lands, they are yours now, and you are bound to them.”
Kingdoms is an entirely new stand-alone strategic campaign game mode available to play now in Darkest Dungeon II.

Featuring a completely reimagined game structure, Kingdoms is a parallel game experience to the Confessions core game mode. You will be challenged to defend a crumbling realm against incursion from all new enemy factions.
Manage a persistent roster of heroes, gather resources, and pursue an epic questline in order to track down and defeat the source of evil before all is lost.

Progress in each game mode is tracked separately, and you can freely switch back and forth between active sessions of either.
Kingdoms is being released in thematic modules, each focusing on a different enemy threat. All three adventure modules - “Hunger of the Beast Clan”, “Secrets of the Coven”, and “Curse of the Court”- are available now!

Gather your courage and ride out into the chaos of a world undone.
Four heroes and a stagecoach are all that stand between darkness and salvation.

Playing this game is like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a very well maintained and cared for cheese grater. The games ♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome, however it kicks my ass any time it gets the slightest opportunity. Absolutely love it, and would recommend. Also it runs great, Ive had 0 crashes and significant FPS drops.
1,000 hours and 100% achievements later – this is a masterpiece, not a DD1 clone!!! As someone who is about to cross the 1,000-hour milestone and has unlocked every single achievement, I felt compelled to write this. The mixed reviews on Steam are deeply unfair to what Red Hook Studios has actually accomplished here. Most negative reviews come from players who wanted "Darkest Dungeon 1.5" – managing the Hamlet, endless grinding, and disposable heroes. DD2 intentionally took a bold, completely different direction. This is a grim, deeply tactical roguelike road trip, and it executes that vision flawlessly. Why this game is a masterpiece (from a veteran's perspective): • Chess-like Combat: The token system replaces the heavy RNG and stat-bloat of the first game, turning every fight into a high-stakes puzzle. Team synergy and positioning are everything. • Heroes with Soul: Instead of sending nameless recruits to the meat grinder, you build a cohesive party. The dynamic Affinity system and character shrines give these heroes a real sense of weight and story. • Flawless Presentation: The transition to a stylized 3D art style, the combat animations, and the legendary Wayne June narrating your downfall create an unmatched atmosphere. • Incredible Endgame Content: The newer Kingdoms mode and Blood Moon difficulty offer an ultimate test of skill and long-term planning for anyone who thinks they've mastered the base game. Darkest Dungeon II is brutal, punishing, and demands that you actually sit down and learn its complex systems. If you quit after 20 hours because a run failed, you missed out on the true depth this game offers once it finally clicks. Stop listening to the nostalgia-blinded complaints. Darkest Dungeon II is its own prideful beast, and it deserves every second of your time. Highest possible recommendation.

Way more balanced and approachable then DD1. I can see why the DD1 players might not like the changes but this is objectively a better designed game. Visuals are also a very juicy. UI Can be wired sometimes and it s not clear where are you supposed to click but other then that more fun then DD1.
It's great honestly.
I want to love this game so badly, I really do... I love Darkest Dungeon and this game is so beautiful, the art and animations are completely stellar and every-time a weapon scrapes across the ground shooting sparks across the screen it tickles a part of my brain. But... this game is frustrating in a way that isn't fun. It's not like Darkest Dungeon which is a punishing and difficult game that the player has tools to maneuver through, its a punishing and difficult game where the player is gambling with item drops and relationship ticks and path rng to hopefully eek out a win this time. One of my main complaints is that the confession bosses are bafflingly specific. It's a trial and error system where once you reach the boss you realize how your specific team comp, no matter how solid otherwise, is simply not designed to win against these bosses. You mine as well look up a guide on what team comps you're supposed to use because it's so strict that it mine as well be law. I don't enjoy playing through a rogue-like with my specific playstyle and team comp idea I came up with just to be met with the ♥♥♥♥ you boss at the end that punishes me for building the wrong kind of team. And if its your first time playing that specific confession you won't even know how the boss is going to ♥♥♥♥ you over, but it will. And not to mention how grindy this game is. DD1 was grindy in a satisfying way of slowly working your roster towards greatness, finding perfect trinkets and getting gold and relics to upgrade your town and max out your skills. It felt like a journey and you had a deep attachment with each of your high level heroes and it was gut wrenching to lose them. It's the same reason people love Nuzlockes in pokemon. But DD2 doesn't care about your party. It's a run-based rogue and your characters don't really carry over (there is a mechanic that saves their quirks and gives them slight buffs but its so inconsistent and annoying that it mine as well be there to force you to grind out the lower level confessions more than actually be a progression system). And all of the macro progression is in this big ole town that doesn't actually... help you. It just adds new trinkets and consumables, loadouts and comsmetics to the base game. It isn't forward progression it's lateral progression. And at some point you're just adding bad relics into the pool of relics to find making it even harder to get the relics you need to create stellar team comps. The path system is interesting for bringing new playstyles out of the current characters and they really made the most of their small roster but... the grind it takes to get each character to have that full loadout? Ludicrous! Have fun grinding run after run just to finally luck out on getting enough shrines of remembrance on your route to fully upgrade one hero and then do it again and again until all your heroes are playable to the fullest. There must have been a better way, right? Anyways, save your time and go play DD1 again with more mods installed. That game is timeless and the modding community will keep that game alive longer than Redhook can keep this game alive by trying to reinvent their game with Kingdoms and adding overpriced dlc for characters that were base game in DD1.
