Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.71/day in the week to Aug 19 → 13.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

You can guess by the amount of hour that I have played that I like the game. Is fun, replayable, the artwork is amazing, and the narrator voice (rip) is from another world. Recomended the base game and all DLCs.

There are some good things about this game but honestly it gets very boring very fast. It's a roguelite and yet instead of being incentivised to experiment and try different things, you are rewarded for playing the same characters over and over again because if they die you delete their quirks and memories. How does this make sense? Not to mention how much time you have to waste to reobtain those memories. Another glaring problem is literally zero diversity of characters between runs. Sure you have 3 specs for each one but let's not kid ourselves. Once you pick the spec it plays the same for most of the time. The issue stems from the fact that the trinkets, you know the random items you get in every roguelite to introduce some variety are extremely bland and almost 60% of them are completely useless if not even detrimental sometimes. Even the useful ones often don't really change that much and you can only have 2 at a time equipped which was a bizarre choice. The enemies can also get very repetitive in confessions where you'll spend most of the time to unlock things. Wow 2 sword cultists and 2 trumpeters instead of 2 sword, 1 trumpet and one altar? how exotic... And god whoever thought of this coach concept should be fired into the sun. Even with the fast coach enabled it takes like 10 seconds still. Yes tiktok brain I know but come on imagine if a game had a 10 second loading screen every time you went into a new room. Everyone would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ their pants non-stop because it's tedious and breaks the flow. And the final gripe I have is this awful relationships system. I won't go too much into detail just know imo it's not well made and the result is you roll some buffs or debuffs when you start a new zone. The buffs are of course as you would expect mediocre at best most of the time and the debuffs are often crippling if not borderline a reason to just give up on the spot. Otherwise the combat is interesting and complex and the game also has a good art style. The music and sound effects sadly (subjective) also leave much to be desired
This game is infuriating - I played DD #1 and enjoyed it. I have no idea what is going on in this sequel - I keep dying without reaching any real goal. I've killed a boss now and seemingly gained nothing. I am unsure of what to do - Getting some enemies or even bosses down to 0 and then having them at deaths door for 3 min while they pummel you and you await a turn in which you don't miss - that is infuriating. Why do this to players? - Why are the heals so restrictive? I am unhitching from this terrible wagon
What a fking pain in the ass. The first one was frustrating enough but this one feels just overly complicated and unfair. They stepped up the visual design but made everything else worse in my opinion. For some reason they changed alot what worked for me with the first game. This doesnt feel like a sequel to me but rather like a spinoff from a different studio.
Just sunk 100 hours into DD1 and finished stygian, very excited to try DD2 but this is not it. Feels like a spinoff game that was made for mobile. No dungeons or exploring, instead it's just a stagecoach that goes up on your screen where you swipe left or right to choose which fork in the road to take. Fighting isn't satisfying at the beginning either. Instead of giving detailed descriptions of each skill, we now have a lot of symbols replacing status effects in the descriptions, many old and new. E.g. No longer are we told the accuracy, base effect %, or get Blight for 3 pts/dmg per rd spelled out etc, it's just a green symbol with numbers next to it. Not sure how else to put it, but feels like I'm playing a mobile game that isn't the most terrible thing in the world, but would probably be canned after a year.
This isn't Darkest Dungeon 1 and that is cool. This game is horribly addictive and beautifully maddening. I love playing it and seeing all the beautiful art and animations, and crying over a party I named Eenie Meenie Miney and Moe dying horribly. It's fun to see this setting explored in a different game style. I am having a good time whittling away at it. This gameplay won't be for everyone and that is alright, lucky for us there are two different darkest dungeon games and we can find joys in either one or both.
Darkest Dungeon 2 should have been called something else, it is barely related to the first game (in terms of gameplay) and all the decisions made to differentiate it from the original make it grindy, annoying, and a general chore to play.
Why would you make the healing limited per battle? You have the exact same amount of damage as the original game so it's not like you can out heal the enemies even if it wasn't capped. In fact there is less opportunities to heal in this game than in the original game as you can't pop down a camp. The Roguelike mode removes all of the connection to the individual heroes. You just get annoyed when they die as that means your run is shot. The relationship system constantly fires while you are hurtling down the road in the stage coach so it's hard to tell when your heroes are getting along or about ready to kill each other. The meta progression is weird as you have to unlock the items, trinkets, general upgrades to show up in the run before you can actually see them (I think). So instead of getting a lucky roll in the first game there is a decent chunk of the game that won't be unlocked until you do a bunch of runs to dump the single upgrade resource into them. Honestly a lot of the gameplay decisions in this game remind me of what I had heard was removed from the first darkest dungeon. I get the feeling the developers got half way through Darkest Dungeon 1 realized what they had built was annoying players and thought they could just port it over to a roguelike version of the game and the players would suddenly enjoy it. Genuinely can't be bothered to try to go any further into this game as I would just be annoying myself.
