It's not a bad game, per se, I just didn't really enjoy my time with it. I booted it up a few times, and just haven't been able to get myself to boot it back up in over a month. Guess it's time to uninstall.

Game highly recommends a controller. No controller I own seems to work with this game. I'm playing on an m1 Mac. The game crashes (or freezes) frequently right upon startup, as well as frequently upon loading a game. Refunded. Buyer beware.
Pros: Pretty game cons: Near useless quest tab, jank, basic bxtch combat, UI, jank will never touch this again. Developer goes straight to the blacklist.

Dark Light has been under my radar for years. Even when on discount I didn't buy it, I dont know why. Perhaps it was that feeling of "jankiness" that sometimes is a hit or miss on some games. And then I buy it. And, you know? Is janky. But the good type of janky. Something that I really appreciate is that the character movements are precise, fast and intuitive. Is not the type of game that turns platform gameplay in a real hell. The combat is fun and gives enough room for experimentation. You can go full melee (the fun way) or ranged, or a mix of both, or go full on skills. The challlenge is ok. Feels like a balanced soulslike. Boss can felt overwhelming but that is the initial impression. Sometimes you can even tank them. Also I think Dark Hunter-07 is a badass. Looks like an explorer of the deep abyss. Is like a mix of Hunk from RE and The Assassin from "Mad Dog". Simple, basic but perfect for this world. A cool design.
É um bom jogo mas é muito obvio que é a primeira vez dos desenvolvedores se aventurando de maneira profunda na ideia de um "metroidVania' - Muitos elementos são extremamente rasos para justificar tentar utilizar eles. É arbitrario a escolha de estamina pros ataques, tendo em vista que o combate é muito mais focado em combos que qualquer outra coisa. O jogo tem belos graficos, mas a historia é, assim como muitas mecanicas, Rasa. Sem contar escolhas de game-design duvidosas em sessões de Plataforma. Eu diria que esse jogo é uma boa forma de se aprofundar ou desligar a cabeça. Mas não terá muitas vantagens aqui. Houve uma tentativa de criação de build, mas tudo que vocÊ precisa fazer é upar Agilidade, Dobrar com Armadura, e espamar o disparo da segunda arma que você compra na loja e tudo morre. Inimigos dropam muita munição. O sistema de quest não existe praticamente. É um jogo muito simples pela promessa que se dá. Então tenha isso em mente.
