About
The world collapsed after a nuclear war. Cities were reduced to ruins, roads vanished beneath the ash, and the territory of the former United States was divided into scorched, deadly sectors. From the ruins of the old world emerged D.E.C.A.Y. - the Department of Environmental Control and Yield. Officially, it is an agency responsible for distributing what remains of vital supplies. In reality, it is a cynical, ruthless, and final force struggling to maintain control over a dying planet.
You are the operator of a remote bunker designated “Facility 16”. You signed a contract with the organization for exactly 365 days. One year of autonomous service under total isolation and extreme risk in exchange for a single reward - absolute freedom. Provided, of course, that you survive long enough to receive your final settlement.
Your bunker is your fortress and your workplace. Maintain life-support systems, repair equipment at workbenches, calibrate the neuro-sensory modules of your personal PDA, and keep track of your supplies. Every new 24-hour cycle changes the balance of threats and available resources on the surface.
The sky is under your control. Your primary duty is to maintain the A.C.C.S. “Atlas” surface network. These massive installations sustain a radiation and thermal shield over the region, preventing the sun from scorching the surface. Monitor the power grid from the bunker’s main terminal, venture outside, locate expensive nuclear batteries, and perform “hot” replacements. Remember: the shutdown of even a single node immediately redistributes the load, causing neighboring Atlas units to drain several times faster.
A loyal mechanical companion. You have access to a specialized search bot capable of accompanying you on the surface and assisting during dangerous expeditions. Only its built-in sensors and manipulators can detect emissions from the rifts, scan them, and safely extract valuable post-nuclear modifiers. Protect the bot while it works - without it, you may return to the bunker empty-handed.
The treasures and curses of the rifts. The crystalline modifiers recovered by your bot provide powerful advantages, but many also carry dangerous side effects. Install a stable “Amber Heart” in your suit to slightly increase your health, or risk using the blazing “Death Stone,” capable of devastating your body’s protective systems. You can also surrender the dangerous mineral to the Department, which uses its destructive energy to manufacture heavy special-purpose ammunition.
Wasteland politics. Not everyone agrees with the Department’s methods. Beyond the sealed bunker doors, you will face raiders, feral mutants, and soldiers of the high-tech faction known as “Legacy.” When their heavily armored enforcers, the “Judges,” arrive in your sector, you will need to use your entire tactical arsenal to survive.
Hardcore VR immersion. Experience realistic environmental interaction and authentic shooting physics. The game features 32 weapons - from assault and sniper rifles to pistols, heavy fire axes, and baseball bats. Discover deeply detailed weapon mechanics: for example, the heavy M88 “Hunter” carbine requires you to manually rotate the bolt handle and pull it back after every powerful shot.
As you complete more directives, one thing becomes increasingly clear: the orders issued by your superiors do not always match the reality on the ground. Eventually, you will have to decide whose contracts to accept and what order truly means to you.
You have no squad.
No permanent support.
No safe zones.
There is only you...
Your search bot...
Your bunker...
And the countdown to freedom...

On loading this game I was very impressed. The opening bunker is pretty darn cool, approaching ALEX levels of cool. The guns and gunplay are very nice and the acid wet green labyrinth leading the the main player area is creepy and atmospheric and set my expectations for the rest of the game. Really nice work. My first issue is a quibble...I could not get out of the bunker. I selected my missions on the board nothing...picked up my weapons...nothing....poked around...nothing. Finally two more quests lit up on the board I selected them, and to my surprise the door finally opened. I am still not sure what specific event allows the door to open? Once you are out, the game falls apart. The assets are rudimentary at best, same blue smeary walls, same distressed cladding patched haphazardly here and there on cookie cutter empty buildings. It's just plain husks with cans of food and other lootables sitting around loudly in the sand in misaligned barren POI's. This really wrecked my immersion. That's about as far as I got...this game has enormous potential. I get that it is early access...but this game feels too early. For a one DEV project I am impressed..but it needs more time to cook. I'll keep a close eye on this one...but for now I cant give it a positive review. I sincerely hope that changes.

After playing for a few hours i am going to give a review on D.E.C.A.Y the good, bad, and ugly. First and foremost i want to applaud the dev because this game was made by one person and its his 3rd game, his other two were the ZONA X and ZONA Origins (love letters to the stalker series, also recommend) i can tell a LOT went into making this game this is definitely a passion project, i played the demo and was sold on the game from the word go and waited eagerly for the release, now with out further ado the review. The good: The game is definitely a love letter to the fallout series and it does not hide it and that adds to the charm and character of this little ditty, the bunker....HQ....Player house? The layout is very straight forward and easy to get around in everything feels within reach and your little robot companion is there with you so the space doesn't feel empty, the radio plays that 50s fallout style music so its got a warm feel to it. The world is open from the word go the only things that are locked are the dungeons dotting the land and those open up as you progress and complete missions to level up. the world definitely has that Fallout New Vegas feel because it takes place in the desert, that being said there is much to explore and to see and there are various landmarks and ruins you can explore without going into the dungeons and there are fallout shelters for you to find that are not on the map so good hunting there! the dungeons themselves, are claustrophobic, the air feels heavy, sight is limited until you get better gear, until then its flashlights and headlamps and it feels tense be sure to aim well and know what you're walking into. so the atmosphere is spot on in dungeons less so in the overworld but its still dangerous but you can usually see what's coming and either confront or avoid to save resources. inventory space in your backpack is generous, but fills up quickly and i would love to see bigger options in future updates, oh yea i forgot to say the inventory space in your bunker is very sizeable lots of places to put all your doodads and loot. the guns feel weighty and have heft to them and a headshot is a kill in most situations a nice selection of guns and im a huge fan of the starting weapon and im not sure if ill ever carry anything else if im honest but thats just me and if you want to know its an M1A. The missions, the missions are good its a nice mix of go here and do x or just show up and loot, not much to the story other than you need to survive a whole year in the game and that about it but truth is im here to not give a damn about story im here to complete missions, grab loot, kill baddies and just have a good time.. The Bad: so let me preface this by saying this is and EA title so the bad really is the stuff i either found annoying or could be improved upon. im going to start with the missions: yes i know what i said about a nice variety and that's not the bad thing, the bad thig is sometimes you're not where where you need to go or what to do, like for example i had to reach all 5 of the....A.R.R.C? stations and only one of them pinged off for me so i'm at a loss as to what to do, so a little more guidance if possible or just have the player show up, plus some map markers would also help unless im just that dense and need to do something for that to happen, if there is let me know in the comments! guns: the hand positions for holding them is a bit weird and it does not feel natural so id like to see an ability to adjust the angles and so forth I know i said we have a nice variety of guns but you know what we dont have a nice variety of? attachments! i mean yes there are a few optic choices and lasers and such but id like a little more flavors to choose from, again this is just my nitpick take this one with a grain of salt! the chest rig: this is my absolute biggest peeve i think, you only get three mag holders. so i have it set up as two for my primary and one for my pistol, i mean it works but i still find it annoying i would like the option to add pouches or at least some pistol mag holders. The Ugly: this issue could just be me but i di try using the SMG and the AK74U and for some blasted reason my controllers would have a hard time tracking so it made fine tuning of my aiming an absolute mess but that could just be my setup cause i had no issues with the longer guns so like i said it could just be me. Final verdict: While DECAY might have its flaws and its not perfect, this is a game i would safely say you must have it in your library, especially for the asking price, youre getting a lot of content and to me bang for the buck is worth its weight in gold and this solo dev is doing things even AAA devs cant, and that is: dare to try something new and deliver a quality product. A vast majority of the time i played this game i forgot this was an EA game save for the few hiccups and my own thoughts, at the end of it all i give this game a solid 7 out of 10 and ill even rewrite this review as updates come out. as for me im going to keep playing! happy gaming!
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/ASn2_crlimM I do recommend this game. I think it's off to a good start in Early Access. If you're familiar with AGaming+ then you know that he's a solo dev who has steadily improved his craft over the years. Started off with Mental Hospital, then Dark Forest, then the breakthrough was Z.O.N.A. Project X and then the follow up was even better with Z.O.N.A. Origin. I believe this is yet another breakthrough for this VR solo dev. The best way to describe it is that it's a mix of inspiration from Fallout and Into the Radius VR. Now, I'm gonna be upfront, it's not as good as either of those games. However, you can clearly see the inspiration. And you can see the start of possibly a very good VR game. The game looks & runs good. I was getting a steady 90 fps on my RTX 5090. However, I did experience some micro stutters, but I'm not sure if it was the game's fault or VD (VD got an update just before I played the game so I'm unable to say if it's this game or VD). Other than that, I didn't experience any bugs. There's some jank to the gameplay, but it mostly feels smooth and polished, especially for an Early Access game. Gun mechanics especially feel good. There's a nice skill system as well / progression. Story could be better. To be clear, this game is nowhere near the quality of Into the Radius. IMO, ITR is one of the best, if not the best VR experiences out there. So it's unfair really to compare, especially when the game is in Early Access. However, it's a nice Fallout themed lower budget ITR and that's not bad really. Game is running on the Unity Engine. You have full locomotion, teleportation, smooth and snap turning available. You can play comfortably seated. Rate ?/10. Off to a great start in E.A. There seems to be quite a bit there, even in EA, but I can't wait to play the full release.
I bought this game! Wide as an ocean deep as a puddle. First day early access I know but the map is enormous with little to nothing in it. I would like to think that the industry and players as a whole understood big empty maps with a few points of interest are not interesting or fun from Starfield. Not only is their little to do other than a few fetch quests with lots of walking but after returning and going out again enemies and loot do not respawn making the map feel even more empty. Some ruins look interesting but they don't have any enemies or loot within them. On the plus side guns feel nice and there are some daily ingame dungeons where loot and enemies do respawn but in my eyes thats not enough to fork over $30. some enemies are interesting to fight but its usually over in a minute then its back to more walking. The game is not terrible but as of right now I cannot recommend it. I wish the developer the best with his project, if it starts making waves I might give in another go later down the road.
I’ve only just started playing but boy am I excited for this title!.. fallout meets into the radius. Dev is an absolute legend as well!
I am absolutely thrilled with the robot assistant! Beep-beep-beep...
Already a gem! You best EA game yet. Love the creepy bunkers. Atmosphere and vibe definitely a strong point. Looking forward to more surface details and variety. Excited for the next 365! Remember, solo dev and EA. It obviously needs work but has great bones.
Loving it so far Kind of a slow vibe, not really clear on where to go on missions yet but it's becoming clearer. As always I love the lore drops in your games... Igor you do great, thanks for the fun games.
Great! сan you teach the robot commands like sit, lie down, and fetch a stick? :)
