About

Starts as Boggle, ends as Schrödinger - Cursed Words is a roguelike adventure about writing words... for a while…until words become NUM83R5, or ♔♘♙, or the infinite void.
Each run is shaped by four pillars: your Character, your Sticker upgrades, your Stamp loadout and the consumable Tiles you bring into each fight. Every attempt becomes its own cursed experiment.
In Cursed Words you build powerful synergies using Stamps and Stickers, face tricky boss encounters and push your score higher with every stage. A base level run features five stages, each one with two encounters and a boss. Beat Stage 5 to win the run, then take on special Challenges and Crown difficulty tiers that redefine the rules and push your creativity.

Blaze a path through cursed bosses and uncover secret items and challenges that completely change the way the game is played. How about all consonants? Maybe all vowels? How about no letters at all?
A whopping 300 stickers and stamps to boost your scores and break the game
11 characters with dramatically different playstyles
20 bosses that’ll try to sabotage your runs, or can be manipulated into multiplying your score even higher
26 unique challenges that completely change the rules of the game

And if all that wasn't enough, mastering each Character's Pin and playstyle is only the beginning. You can prove it wasn't just a fluke by taking on the Challenge Crowns, where Score Targets are bigger, Shops are more expensive, and you'll have to really break the rules if you want to succeed; or you can take on Quests, specific modifiers to the game's rules that will really put your skills to the test...

Very addictive and joyous game. I didn't know that I need this crossword game with roguelike mechanic. A lot of content and challenge for those who like word game. Highly Recommend!!!
There's been a wave of Balatro-likes recently, but Cursed Words is the best of them. The gameplay is playful and innovative, and there's a deep list of interesting challenges to work through. Art design and soundtrack are on point too. A game I'm going to keep coming back to, and a 2026 GOTY contender for me.
This might be the best game of all time. Idk what else to say, add point shop items :P
A very 123$5/7 and 123???E?????AT??E tasting game. I have no words to describe this experience.
I just won Boggle by playing three fractions, two chess pieces, two question marks, and a joker card. Amazing.
I've tried a lot of Balatro-inspired roguelikes, searching for the next game that would hypnotize me as much as Balatro did. This game is the first one since Balatro that gets basically everything right, at least for me. Just like you don't need to be good at poker to be good at Balatro, you don't need to be good at Scrabble to be good at Cursed Words. You'll end up playing a 14 letter-long word made out of fractions and chess pieces, and the game will tell you: Did you mean ''Abdominoplasty''? Sure! You kind of only need a general idea of what a word looks like, like in which order letters are most likely to be in a word. I have to applaud the game design of this, because as you spell out your word, the game lets you know if it's valid or not. I've tried other ''Scrabble-balatro'' games that you had to click submit everytime you wanted to try out a word. There is also SO MUCH content in this game. Don't dismiss it early as being repetitive, because the variety comes from all the characters you unlock, the challenges, the crowns, and so many stamps and stickers to unlock. I have 35 hours so far, and I haven't even unlocked half of what there is to unlock. My only complaints are small. Sometimes the game lags a bit in the menu when I select a character. I wish there was a bit more boss variety, and that we could look at our stickers and stamps while choosing the boss. I kinda wish there was an endless option like in Balatro, but at the same time there aren't any broken combos like Mime/Baron in Balatro (afaik) that lets you score in the trillions. Overall awesome game that I plan on playing a lot more!
there is so much more game than you expect. love it.
