Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 8.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Cultist Simulator is a game of apocalypse and yearning from Alexis Kennedy, creator of Fallen London and Sunless Sea. Play as a seeker after unholy mysteries, in a 1920s-themed setting of hidden gods and secret histories. Perhaps you're looking for knowledge, or power, or beauty, or revenge. Perhaps you just want the colours beneath the skin of the world.
In this roguelike narrative card game, what you find may transform you forever. Every choice you make, from moment to moment, doesn't just advance the narrative - it also shapes it.
Become a scholar of the unseen arts. Search your dreams for sanity-twisting rituals. Craft tools and summon spirits. Indoctrinate innocents. Seize your place as the herald of a new age.

In this 20-40 hour game, you'll:
Combine cards to tell your own story in a rich, Lovecraftian world of ambition, appetite and abomination. Corrupt your friends. Consume your enemies. There is never only one history.
Found a cult, dedicated to the Red Grail, or the Witch-and-Sister, or the Forge of Days. Recruit Believers and promote them to Disciples to serve as burglars, researchers, cat's-paws. Use your disciples to keep you fed - or feed on your disciples.
Unravel arcane, unacknowledged mysteries. Translate grimoires and glean their lore. Locate and pillage the Star Shattered Fane. Penetrate the realm of the Hours, and win a place in their service. Perhaps - if you are very cunning - you may even glimpse the Mansus.
Outwit rivals, investigators and the increasingly suspicious Authorities. Your own altered Appetites may force you to act abominably, but your Cause must not be stopped.
Transcend death with a story-driven legacy system. Perhaps your inheritors will complete the Rite of the Crucible Soul. Perhaps they'll find peace in a pleasing career. Perhaps they'll bring the Dawn.

Game is fine. Played it a lot on my phone. But for some reason I keep getting adds for an 8 year old game all of a sudden. Leave me alone
It pains me to write a negative review for this game because of its beautiful art, nice game feel and interesting lore. However there's an elephant in the room that kills the deal for me (and probably will for you too), and that is its lack of consistency. The absence of a tutorial or in-game tooltips that actually explain anything marks the core intention of the game design: you have to figure out everything. This is taken to the extreme when you even have to figure out what the game is about and what its main objective is. That's not necessarily bad, and would be perfectly fine if the game had a consistent set of rules for the human pattern-seeking ability to discover them, or at least align the cryptic tooltips hints with what actually happens in the game. Sadly the game has neither. The game wants you to figure out, and at the same time it doesn't let you. That's where the problem lies. *SPOILER SECTION AHEAD* The best example of this is the painting ability: -Notoriety/Mysticism should yield you more funds the more you put them inside, according to tooltips. It doesn´t. -You try different combinations and amounts of them, result doesn't change. -Skill level doesn't scale results consistently. -Painting with passion makes more "personal" paintings. Is it good or bad? Unclear. -Does passion yield more funds? Unclear. -Theme of the painting changes funds outcome? Unclear. And this is just one example. Working with health skill gives 1 or 2 funds permanently no matter what you do, and variates between game runs. Is fascination a good/positive card? Tooltip suggests it is, tuns out it isn't. Do you want to upgrade a heart follower with a heart ceremony? It won't work, but a low level lamp ceremony will do. What is an aspect? What is moth? What even is the seventh intention? What causes wounds on followers? Why some cards glow like they are fit for the task, but then won't work?. So many questions, no clear answers, lots of inconsistencies. Also, no history tracking to understand what just happened with your vanished cards. No independent save files. No reload game state to a certain point. No glossary that expands as you discover things. And the cherry on top: sometimes you do stuff that abruptly ends the game run, and you have to start all over again.

Never have I ever been able to see through the cracks of the worlds. Being able to see between the lines and into the future like i have playing this game

There's a lot of grinding and I've never finished this game even once (without dying or going crazy, that's it), but I just love everything about it. I can't get enough of the lore, these characters, their stories.
Game started out be enjoyable and challenging. Altough there are tooltips over everything in this game its is all trial and error. I felt lost at times and it took me a while to figure out how to actually progress towards one of the occult victories. Game can be punishing at times with many loss conditions competing to end your run. Learning how to manage these is the key to success but occasionaly it feels beyond your control. One of the downsides is that the game is very repetitive and starts to feel like a grind for the win. Got to the point where I wasnt really enjoing the game but kept going for the sake of getting a victory but that being said I did mostly have a good time playing it.
