Its a fun game, and the premise is good, but the execution and release of the game in its current state unfortunately does not warrant a recommendation. This game is still riddled with bugs, from UI issues, to crashes, to gameplay loops not progressing properly, the list goes on. If this had been released in this form as an early access or beta playtest I would be more understanding. This is not a 'finished' product. Its close and I have sent some feedback to the dev but it is not there yet. I can see this being recommended after some patches and updates, and I hope the dev continues to improve the maps (which are somewhat hit or miss as some are just painstakingly taxing to complete the rituals, the water one in particular). I am also hoping to see more synergies between the powerups and some method of strategizing that benefits savvy players. At the moment it is just 'Max out multi ball, buy things that improve multiball, break game'. Looking forward to how the dev takes the feedback and works to improve what is foundationally a good game but not executed well enough yet.

I thought I was good until I saw this deaf, dumb, and blind kid play...
This is a very creative way to put a twist on pinball. As a huge Lovecraft enthusiast and someone who played what feels like hundreds of hours of the pinball game that came pre-installed with Windows XP this hits all of my buttons. I haven't put a lot of time into it but wanted to leave my first impressions. It runs smoothly on Steam Deck, so no complaints on that end. What I would like to see is stronger highlighting of the focused option in the menus like increasing the size or a little ahift upwards of the currently highlighted item. Really cool game. I can definitely see myself playing hours of this especially on the go.
first attempt, broke the score 10/10
3 out of 10 I really wanted to like this as I grew up playing Sierra pinball games. The biggest flaw to this is the blockers, the boss appearing in the middle of table, and the rogue-like mechanics. Most of the time it was the blockers doing everything. I'd catch a ball, toss it where I want it to go, then it'd be a waiting game like a minute later before I even needed to hit a paddle. Bosses being in the middle...I only made it to the 2nd table before I was just fed up with it. The first map was bad enough but the second one I couldn't see my ball 1/2 the time because it's a giant obstructing spire in the middle of the damn table! The rogue-like mechanics are the most annoying thing. Constantly interrupting game play at crucial junctures.
This game is fun as hell, the gimmicks are creative and the boss fights are very good, I wish there were more maps but the game is new and I'm expecting more to come out. Very good rogue like for people who like pinball.
Many of the negative comments seem to not like pinball as a game. I, however, am a both IRL pinball lover as well as a rouge-like lover liked it. Wish it was longer though! The game would really benefit from community maps or a map maker. But the gameplay and art was very appealing.
the game revolves entirely around whether or not you can trigger a multiball ritual. if the ritual is in a hard spot to activate then the game just becomes so frustrating trying to ping one single spot on the board. you never feel like you are ahead and there was maybe one time in my playthrough where i felt like i had a strong setup. every run is the exact same. and i realized it was no fun trying to game the system. so many better roguelikes out there
I'm a real-life pinball person - this game 100% scratches the itch. Good tables, good ramps, the physics could be a tiny bit better but it's much better than most of the games out there as far as realistic playability (not everyone can be Stern). Absolutely worth the money that's being asked for. I bought it yesterday and you see what I've sunk in already.
