I played the Alabaster Dawn (Radical Fish's new game) demo and bought it's early access (which I literally never do) even though I don't plan on playing until it's finished. Then I learned about this game. I was not expecting it to be as full of content as it was. Pros -Fun, satisfying and often times challenging combat. -Plenty of puzzles (also very satisfying). -Great boss, enemy and location variety. -Unique story, even 8 years later. -70+ hours of content that doesn't get stale. -Enjoyable art style. -Large skill trees. Cons -For some reason during dialogue scenes there's a sometimes white flashes. -You can finish the all of the content without being anywhere near finishing the skill trees. Cannot recommend Crosscode and Alabaster Dawn more, go give them money,

I honestly don't know anymore. We live in a strange world where major companies with millions of dollars can't manage to make a game that’s even halfway decent, yet indie developers release works of art and charge peanuts for them (IN A CAVE WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS). Just explain to me how do they manage to flesh out a mute girl using nothing but a few dozen emotion sprites so effectively that I, a grown man, find myself sitting there with teary eyes, genuinely worried about her? A fantastic game. In terms of gameplay, it’s heavy on both action and puzzles. Surprisingly, the puzzles are challenging enough to make you think, yet not so tedious that you feel compelled to look up the answers. It might not be for everyone, but it’s definitely worth giving a chance.
