A really fun game. I enjoy the story and gameplay a lot and the dungeons were fun. The music is also really good. I am iffy on the expansion being DLC, but it is done well and the game is still overall cheap especially compared to AAA. I would recommend if looking for a good action game. The game is also available on Itch.io if you prefer that platform.
This game is a wonderful experience. The combat is clever and fun, though nothing too groundbreaking. The pixel art is very pretty and well made. The music is juuuuuust good enough to go on my playlist. But where Crosscode really makes its mark is in the story and characters. The very concept of a game that is set within a world that is an MMO to the characters is brilliant enough, but it doesn't end there. Every time you think you know what's going on, this game will drop another bombshell that changes everything about the context of this world and Lea's place in it. (This happened to me like 4 times). You may eventually find yourself losing track of what's part of Crosscode, what's part of the "real world" in the world of Crosscode, and what's part of Crossworlds. Or maybe none of it was ever different at all?... This game is a wild, emotional ride that is meta in an entirely different way than Undertale. 9.5 / 10

Unbelievably excellent game. Very fun gameplay loop, fun story, and really entertaining dialogue. Highly, highly recommend. Can get difficult at times, but with a little grinding, can easily match or exceed boss levels.
This is a game that is fantastic for people who are not me. Combat is fast, fluid and always trying to keep you on your toes, but it visually overstimulated the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. Exploration is in depth with platforming puzzles sometimes spanning multiple screens, which I think a lot of people might like. Puzzles are very involved and super demanding, but I bounced off the trigonometry exercise of having to stand in a very narrow range of spots to get a perfect angle for a shot and having to do that under pretty strict timers (you can modify those in the difficulty settings) The backdrop of this being an MMO was intricately crafted down to the quest structure and expansive lore. I very much appreciate what this game does, it just doesn't do it for me
amazing art, combat, music and story, HARD puzzles
This is an absolutely amazing, fantastic, wonderful game. I can't guarantee that this game is for everyone, but personally it's my favorite game that I've ever played. This game already has a lot of positive reviews, so although this will be like a drop in the ocean, I wanted to express somewhere how much I adore this game. You should probably stop here and read others if you want to know if you would like the game (for what its worth, I strongly suggest you try it). I know its been years since this has been released, but Radical Fish Games, thank you for the ultimate experience. For reference, I was trying to 100% the game within reason. If there was a quest to tap 800 times at a certain rhythm, I didn't do it. But I did complete all the quests and found all of the chests. I did not unlock every single trophy though. After taking my sweet time, I finished this game with 73 hours of play time. I absolutely loved the pixel art in this game, the sprites, assets, character portraits, everything about it. 10/10 The music to me was pretty solid. I really liked some tracks, but others not as much. 7/10 The story was pretty cool. I personally wish it could have been more (and wish there was more on the other characters too). The lore found in the encyclopedia that you end up filling out seemed larger than the actual story. Also with the story, it is split into a handful of chapters, and each had a summary to go along with it. I wished that the story was more in depth so that the summaries would have had to be longer because there was that much more to cover. This isn't saying the story wasn't good though, I enjoyed it enough to play it for 73 hours. 8/10 Puzzles. The puzzles were one of my favorite aspects of the game, as I really enjoy puzzles. I saw a couple of reviews saying they are too perplexing, and truthfully, I don't know how. There were probably only 2 puzzles out of the myriad of the them that I don't think I found the intended solution and had that "aha" moment. The other hundred puzzles I did have that moment. I played it with a controller which made aiming in the time based sections a pain, but was easily overcome. 10/10 The combat was great. Sometimes it got repetitive, but not enough to hate it. 9/10 The leveling up system was neat and you can tell the leveling system was very well thought out. 10/10 The quests were so cool. The devs really cooked with a lot of the quests. Some of them were classic find the bad guy and beat him up. But others were extremely creative, I was surprised they used the tools of your moveset to come up with some of them. 10/10 I was so glad they added a dialogue log and records page. I came back to the game after a couple of months and these were so convenient to have. So incredibly grateful to add such a simple yet helpful feature, bravo. 10/10 CrossCode feels thoughtfully crafted, with a clear emphasis on making the player experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. You can tell in various ways, but for me them saying at minute one that it was a puzzle game, making the completionist route be as extensive as it is, and providing that dialogue/lore log made all the difference to me. The Drill quest was such a nice touch too. I can't really express how much I enjoyed the game, and this long convoluted "review" won't do it justice. This game was everything that I wanted it to be and more, and I'm content with this being the only game that was able to scratch this particular itch. So truly, thank you Radical Fish Games for making CrossCode!
I absolutely loooove this game. I love the characters, settings, the gameplay is so smooth. I have bough this game for consoles are well and still decided I wanted it for PC. Just fyi, it's better on a controller. Great game.
Great game
