About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

I like the gameplay but the story is confusing O,O by the end of it Im thinking wait .... what ????
This one has an interesting sci-fi flair. I had only played two other games by this developer, namely Observer and Medium, but Cronos is now to date my favorite game by them. What I liked: - The atmosphere is great. The game uses environmental story-telling, lighting and fog to great effect. It contributes a lot to tension. In buildings, there are tons of details that tell you about the lives of people that used to live or work there, and the way monsters are found is often related to how and when they turned. It makes the world very believable. The far landscape is also very well made, and a lot of places in game made me want to stop and take the view in. - I expected jumpscares all the time, but sometimes they didn’t come up exactly when I expected it, so they worked on me. That kept me on edge during the entire duration of the game. - The world-building and characters felt grounded in the history of their country. I liked the story overall, even if the twists never really surprised me, foreshadowing was good enough. - The music is great, it blends atmospheric synths with eerie choirs at times, giving some sort of techno-gothic feel to the game. - The gravity based level-design was very cool, and well built-up to. Although I wish it had been used more in the game. - Gameplay-wise, the limited space inventory system forces you to keep reassessing which items you want to carry with you, how much space you want to leave for weapons, for consumables, keys and materials. - Speaking of materials, I liked how very limited they are, it also forces you to make conscious choices about which sort of ammo or healing items you want to make depending on the situation. - I liked the fact that you could use melee attacks a lot, although to make them worthwhile you need a special item. But I would often resort to melee attacks on minor enemies to save on ammo. - One of the principles of the game, that fire stalls enemies and you don’t take any fire damage, was pretty satisfying. Something I loved to do was to group enemies around me, use a fire charge to stun them all at the same time, and get rid of them with a single charged shotgun hit. Note that explosions still damage you. What I disliked: - Dodging in combat is awkward. The game tells you to keep moving, but having the main character just jog their way through hordes of enemies to avoid hits does not feel right. Although, one could say that offense is the real proper way to defend, by shooting a charged shot at the enemy right before they’re about to hit you, and that would be why the dodging aspect is so under developed. - The tension and horror atmosphere gets mild near the end, because by then, characters are way more talkative, and the game takes almost more a drama feel. - Although in general weapons firepower is balanced by taking into account their firing rate, they did not feel that well balanced to me. I would get excited when finding a new weapon, try it out, and quickly drop it in favor of the ones I already had (basic pistol and shotgun). The steep price of upgrades keeps you from experimenting with that in a single playthrough. - Shooting non-charged shots makes enemies appear like bullet sponges as they do not react, even if you shoot them in feet or knees. I would use charged shots pretty much all the time because of that, as they cause damage and make the enemy react. It would have been better if non-charged shots had a way to feel rewarding other than invisibly accumulating damage. - Bestiary is not very varied, after a while you’ll see how some encounters (arenas with waves) are mostly a selection of a number of those enemies you already know. Because of that I feel like areas with no enemy waves but only enemies hiding within the environment and ambushing you as you go were more fun. All in all a pretty solid game, decent gameplay-wise, with great visuals, and an interesting sci-fi story. Recommended to anybody that enjoys playing survival horror titles.

The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Loved the colors and ambiance. I loved the soundtrack. I had fun exploring. The story was good enough, it may not be ground breaking but it does a good enough job at keeping you curious. There are multiple endings and I do believe that the lenght is at a sweet spot. It lost a point because I felt some moments mid game had uneven difficulty. Have fun.
The game is not awful, but I wouldn't call it good either and wouldn't recommend it. The more I played it, the less fun I had, and ended up not even finishing it. UE5 gets the job done, if by the job you mean stuttering and the same "asset flip" look and feel. Had to use mods to turn on Reflex so that the latency is not as bad as it is. The repetition gets old pretty quick. You just do the same thing over and over again - get to a "new" area, fight the same enemies there, touch the light blob, fight the same enemies, but now on the other side, collect the guy/gal, repeat. It's an RE-like game, so it encourages you to loot everything you can see (you know, the "survival horror" thing), but then it punishes you by wearing you down with an incredible amount of repetitive encounters and rooms. It feels very scripted, you can almost tell what will happen as soon as you see the "battlefield". You'll get your "zombie time" action, then some walking action, then again some fighting, hours after hours. It relies heavily on screamers, the number of times an enemy would just burst out of the wall in front of you or you would see distortions with faces on your screen accompanied by some loud noises is frightening. It feels cheap and gets more annoying than scary as you play. The characters are boring and not interesting. There are no stakes because there's no reason to care about anyone, everything's made in a way to feel detached, and it certainly is. "Damn, that's crazy" with a straight face - that's me trying to be invested in whatever happens. The story is almost non-existent. The game wastes A LOT of time telling something that could be told within a couple of hours. The cutscenes are very long, where the characters talk very slowly in monotone to say almost nothing of value. You cannot skip the lines, only the full cutscene, so you are forced to put your controller down and listen to these attempts at communication between two robotic creatures. This is truly what I want from any story that's supposed to make me care about it. The warden thing is extremely predictable, and I don't know why the game treats it like something unexpected. The game likes to sound cool with all the smart words with 0 context and over-the-top visuals with flying things and stuff, but there's no substance. You don't feel like you got anything thought-provoking out of it, just everything you've seen before kind of jumbled together - here's your futuristic cosmic setting, here's some body-horror zombies you've seen before somewhere, here's your RE-like gameplay, but boring and repetitive. There's a ton more things I could point out. It's like they made the game in one attempt and went with it without replaying the whole thing at once.
The Best Survival horror Game i have played in a long time that is not called RE. This is a must play. I played this before on console but finally got it on PC and i can never get old of this one. First playthrough on PC then of cours will play on NG+ Hard mode/ 10\10
Dark and challenging, very enjoyable
Absolutely a recommend, great game
Great game 12 hours into the game and to me at least keeps you on your toes in every area. I think the story is very good and thought out so far and cant wait to do some ng+ runs on this game!
I gotta say after finishing the game it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere is just amazingI I haven't fallen in love with atmosphere like this since dead space 2. The story is very good! It has some really high highs and even the weaker points in the story are still decent giving it an overall strong story. The characters though are by far the best part of the game! Now the enemy designs are very cool, but there's a big lack of variety in actual designs of enemies, which was overall disappointing but they were still cool. The bosses were also big let downs except for 2 of them.
Really wished they thought of unique designs for the bosses instead of reusing the same boss like 3 times and another boss twice, the game only has 3 unique bosses which is a let down.
The gameplay is solid I thought the gun play felt good and the burning mechanic for stunning enemies and burning there corpses to stop them from merging was cool and the best part of the combat. The melee combat was useless and felt like an actual after thought at least in a game like dead space you had a chance to fight back in this game if you run out of bullets good luck. Even with my complains my overall score for this game is a 9 out of 10! I highly recommend this game to any horror fan!
