About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

It'd be easy to say "Dead Space at home", and yeah, there are some similarities, but this is definitely its own thing. Dead Space is action with horror flavor, this leans toward actual survival horror. You'll feel like you're barely scraping by in terms of ammo most of the time, but luckily, it isn't terribly hard to dodge enemies, and in some cases, you can literally just run away and save ammo. Story is intriguing and it's pretty rare for me to actually read, listen and watch everything in a game, then again, I like this type of stuff, where you're thrown into the middle of something and drip-fed lore. Enemies, while there are some freaky designs, in terms of mechanics, nothing too special. There's a standard dude, agile dude, big dude, wall dude etc. They can, however "merge" with dead ones, which adds the need to deal with corpses or prioritize the ones that are in the process of merging. All in all, looks and sounds great. Plays well and the story seems interesting. Hope to see more of this IP.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Cronos: The New Dawn è un buon survival horror, ma molto lontano dagli standard attuali dell'industria videoludica.
Great game, good atmosphere, graphics are very good.
I got this game because it was from the same developer as Silent Hill 2 (what a fantastic game). It is nothing like it... its just a straight walk in the park. No real puzzles, the combat is shoot first run around a corner and shoot again. I am just running through it to complete it because I paid for the game. If you are looking to mindlessly pass the time then this is the game for you.
An almost perfect game for me. All the feel of Dead Space in a unique environment with a stellar story. The normal game difficulty is a bit harsh with regards to limited ammunition combined with very limited resource space. That is my only real complaint, I ended up starting over on easy and enjoyed it much better. I’m sure normal is doable but after getting to a certain point and being too low on supplies to really tackle a section, I just opted for easy. Frankly if every enemy consistently dropped supplies it would have been fine but I found it much too stringent to be fully enjoyable. If Dead Space 2 is a 5 to me Cronos is a 4.5. In many ways the setting, characters, art, and writing are better in this. I hope they continue this franchise or at least make spiritual successors!
Poor optimized and generally a boring game...no fun at all.
Dead Space meets Resident Evil in industrial communist Poland
The most use you'll ever get out of a pair of bolt cutters 10/10
One of the most exciting full feature game in survival horror in a long time. I'm including requiem with that. Very few AA games in traditional survival horror are either remakes or lean way too into action. While the combat is fun it's still 100% about resource management and it dose a great job with making you feel like you never have enough and you just squeeze by. The story is interesting but a little hard to follow due to pacing issues. In fact the pacing is the only reason I believe this isn't in the survival horror hall of fame with dead space, resident evil and silent hill. There are just way too many corridors that serve no purpose. I feel like 1/3 of the rooms and notes in the game could be completely removed and you'd have a much better experience. The game dose tend to drag and I suspect it's why the story isn't liked by a lot. you go long stretches with nothing happening it becomes hard to follow and you find note after note saying the same thing. Add time travel and you have a recipe for a story that's easy to lose track of. I truly believe that if 5 hours or so were cut from this game it would be in game of the year discussions with how may interesting ideas it bounces around. It just spreads them so thin it becomes tiering. Also the back 1/2 is way better then the first 1/2 so it'll lose many people understandably. I ended up loving it and I almost gave up on it after a couple of sessions.
