About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

The gameplay was very good; the only issues I had were with the bosses. They seemed a little too boring. All of the bosses (maybe except the last one) used the same mechanics, so there was really nothing special here. The game is around 15 hours long, but I marked it as "long" because, in my opinion, after Act 3 the pacing starts to slow down, whereas it should be picking up as it moves toward the climax. If they made the last locations a little smaller and maybe removed a couple of boss fights (which, as I mentioned, are not very cinematic), it would make the game better. The other problems were related to optimization. I had a stable 30 FPS with only small drops in a couple of moments. However, keeping in mind everything I wrote above, this game is almost a masterpiece of the survival horror genre. The music and audio are excellent, and combined with the outstanding graphics and visual effects, they created one of the most immersive gaming experiences I've had in years. The game's economy is also top-notch—you always seem to have exactly the amount of ammo you need. There were a couple of moments when, after a gauntlet or boss fight, I had zero or almost zero ammo, but I never had an issue where I ran out of ammo completely. Crafting is simple, but it was enough for me to focus on the gameplay rather than crafting recipes. Last but not least, exploration. Finally, someone made a game where exploration is actually fun because it's genuinely rewarding. You want to find more loot because, in this type of game, resources are scarce. Exploring additional rooms and searching for the items you need to survive was really entertaining. I would say that this game is definitely worth the money they're asking for, and if you're looking for a really good survival horror game, this is the one.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Amazing atmosphere and setting, combat is a bit clunky but very brutal once you get the hang of it.
This is all I was looking for in this moment : _ a linear game with a good story and a few secret zones or alternative paths in the spirit of The Last of Us _ being scared but not to the point of pooping myself like I did many times exploring the USG Ishimura _ a well balanced difficulty that allows me to slowly progress through the story without being stuck somewhere _ pretty good gunfights and feelings _stunning graphics and musics that serves immersion and ambiance
I would not recommend to buy this game on mac, this should not have been release in such a state. Even on macbook pro m5 pro the performance is just garbage and you can hardly play. Unfortunately, the game was activated by key and I cannot refund it, otherwise I would've done it
Was meine ich damit?
Very good 15 hour game
I think its good!
Really enjoying the game, Playing Silent Hill 2 Remake sold me on this team to deliver.
7.5/10 Very good Comming from resident evil and dead space ig takes inspiration from both of them but in a unique setting. The athmosphere is amazing, the areas (The steelworks, the church and the Hospital more than anything will live rent free in my mind, damn such gorgeous and horrifying places), some of the puzzles, the sountrack (Amazing music) the worldbuilding, the lore, the interconected map wich i see very few people mention, its all very well written and made w passion. The gampelay is very fun and engaging, its very similar to RE Requiem in a way that theres horror and very tense sections and some pure shooter sections very well distributed. The gunplay feels very good and very rewarding, plus the inventory feels like an old horror game, very challenging. For the negatives... well if you have a low end pc like mine you will need to download a mod that allows you to play at stable +100 fps because the game is not well optimized. The enemies can be repetitive, its not like other survival horrors have an insane variety, and here enemies can have variants and transform if u dont take care of the corpses, theres even a boss fight thats just a previous one but with an additional enemy and some added mechanic but nontheless for that few bossfights it just fells wrong to have a copy paste one. As a fantastic plus i have to mention that this game´s ending manages to do something that can only be made in the videogame media, you cant do anything even remotely close to the true ending in a movie or a book, and i really apreciate the originality in that In short, if you like the resident evil franchise, the dead space games, survival horrors in general i would highly reccomend playing this, i dont give it an 8 because of the necessity of the mod to be playable for me and because some of the story misteries are still misteries, will update once the lazarus DLC comes out Play it, you will enjoy it
