If you are going to keep your game stuck in Early Access for years, at least have the decency to label it as such. I like the game, but I wanna play it when it's finished. But will it ever be finished?

Every market we collect.
Latest in each market: best JP #59, worst BR #93 · 3 markets collected
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly I really LIKED Core Keeper, but by the end of my play time here I'm left feeling like I just wasted my time on it too, which is ultimately why I can't recommend the game. At a base level Core Keeper is my kinda game, fun base building, with some albeit light automation and the ability to make large farms, Minecraft style. The game has great exploration and discovery, with an even higher tier soundtrack that has become one of my top five game soundtracks of all time. But the game does have issues that hold it back and made me disappointed while progressing to the later game stages. It's honestly the fact that I liked the game so much at first, as to why I'm also left with the feeling of being disappointed and not wanting to recommend this. For starters, the base building and automation are cool, but also very limited. This is an unfortunate case of me really enjoying a mechanic, only to then be let down by it once you see how shallow it is. At first you see a lot of potential here with base building and farms/automation (like you might see in Minecraft with Redstone building) But eventually you realize it's a bit silly too. There is a collection item/building in particular that is pretty lazy and prevents the automation from being as deep as Minecraft is. Just slap down one of those collection devices and power it up, and it will suck up any loose item within it's bubble and there ya go. So you can make some mob farms, some automated crop farming, a tree farm, but that's it. Unlike other games where you can take say, a piston from minecraft, and it has unlimited potential and uses, but here the tools are all made specifically for just one or two purposes. You have mining drills you can use to mine large outcrops for mining automation, and they can also be used to make a tree farm, but that's it. That's all their uses. This applies to most items in the game having a very specific function to them and thus limiting what you can really do with them. So it felt like once I built a few farms that could actually be built, I just hit a wall and realized there was absolutely nothing else I can build or expand on. This also leads to a frustrating area in late game in that there are a few resources that become an absolute grind because there is no way to really farm or produce them at all. So you can buy a few at a time from a merchant or just run around exploring with no purpose other than slowly collecting some of these resources as loot drops. This is where my enthusiasm with the game really started to tank. I was endlessly looping around the same biomes grinding for the same few materials I need that can't be farmed or made in any way. This is made ESPECIALLY frustrating by the boss encounters and how those work. Besides a couple bosses in the game, every boss requires a special item to spawn it in. This requires you to head to a certain place where that item can be crafted, and then that item gets used up. So if you die in the boss fight, you'll need another one of those items. Luckily they aren't crazy expensive. But in the later game? On boss attempt #10? It can really add up, ESPECIALLY for those non-renewable resources I mentioned earlier. So this really lead to me getting bored with the game. Get enough resources to craft 3 or 4 boss spawn thingys, lose them all again, head back out or sit around and wait until you can buy or find more resources to craft more of them. It just got to be a really annoying loop. This is made clear by what I see as a massive balancing issue. I had the luxury of playing this game a few years ago on Xbox with an old buddy of mine, so I can compare what the experience is like in solo now versus co op back then. And this game does not go well with solo play. When my buddy and I were playing together, these issues where no where near as big a deal because; 1. In co op all the bosses are MUCH more manageable and doing so is basically like having cheat codes versus playing solo. If someone dies in the fight they can run back and rejoin while the other(s) continue the fight. So right off the bat you rarely lose a boss fight more than 1 or 2 times, and a lot of times not at all. Meaning none of the grindy BS in solo where you keep having to craft more and more of those dumb boss spawn items. 2. All bosses are designed SUPER tight. They play like old school Super Nintendo Bosses where you have to memorize and learn every boss, their patterns, their attacks, their stages, etc. But that's only in solo you have to do this. Having more than one player that can take the attention of the boss makes all the difference in how hard the battle is. Playing the later game bosses solo is such a pain because if you make one or two small mistakes, it's over. You don't have a buddy to absorb the blows for a second while you heal, you don't have the ability to split the load, and so playing this solo is a frustrating pain in the ass because of the entire boss loop where you have to attempt bosses more than a dozen times. 3. Co-Op dispenses all issues with grinding for materials because if there is more than one of you out exploring, you will always have more than enough of those non-renewable materials I was talking about. Everything costs the same be it solo or co op, so it's just simple math. More people means more materials which means less grind for each person to get what you need. Ultimately that's the games biggest problem, this game was clearly designed for co-op play, and no one took the time to see what balance issues need to be adjusted for solo players. Being I played this co op a while back with a friend and had a way better experience than I did this time is all the proof you really need. So if you have someone(s) to play this with, I totally recommend this to you, but if you're like me and everyone you know seems to have no interest in playing anything together, then I would avoid this like the plague. It's just not a fair go when you're playing solo and that was really disappointing to me considering how much I enjoyed this with my friend years ago on Xbox.
