About

Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand introduces an all-new standalone wave defense experience, delivering thrilling, highly-replayable Company of Heroes gameplay. This standalone experience does not require you to own any previous Company of Heroes titles, making it easy for you to jump straight into the action and have fun, whether you’re a longtime fan or a new player.

Prepare to dig in, build layered defenses, and survive against escalating waves of enemy forces across 12 increasingly difficult rounds, including intimidating bosses and dynamic battlefield events unique to Final Stand.

Featuring a roguelite progression system, players construct a custom battlegroup from the ground up suited to their style of play. After each wave, choose between randomized units or abilities that persist for the duration of the run, ensuring that no two playthroughs feel the same.
Persistent upgrades like powerful perks and unique abilities will be unlocked between runs across faction-specific progression trees. These upgrades meaningfully change how each faction plays, encouraging experimentation, long-term mastery, and repeat play at higher levels.

Final Stand captures the classic Company of Heroes feeling of those pivotal moments where when faced with overwhelming odds, preparation, adaptability, and decisive command determine survival.

This game should be a free add on for CoH 3 owners. I don't know why the achievements are tied to the original game when its a stand alone.
For Reference this 'standalone' experience is 600 BYTES It is basically a check to see if you can play it. it's a normal DLC you can't play without installing basegame, treated as a big update. It's company of heroes 3 with a horde defence mode.

Lackluster, not worth the price. Launched with minimal content and with the knowledge that more isn't planned, this isn't worth the asking price. Maybe for 5 bucks in the future this will be fun for a one or two session sit down, but otherwise offers nothing to justify this being a separate game from Coh3.
This game is buggy, horrifically unfun, and they charged 30 dollars for a product which required no new asset development and was almost certainly ripped from the independent mod on the workshop that had this execution... but better. 30 dollars, I still can't believe it, Relic, if you're going to rob me blind like this, at least do me the courtesy of knifing me in the kidneys first. There's only 5 maps, the difficulty curve spikes MASSIVELY, and you get trickle-fed units that may or may not be effective against the enemies thrown at you... oh yeah, and all the enemies start at max veterancy and ability spam even on the lowest difficulties. There's realistically no time to set up defenses, and, much like the base game, this crapfest devolves into spamming engineers because at least their flamethrowers are effective at somewhat killing the waves of infantry and lighter vehicles that will, without fail, out number you at least six to one. Get ready to have fun calling in one rifle squad, if you manage to roll for them, every five minutes as all your reinforcement points are eaten up by building fighting positions or desperately trying to replace unavoidable losses. As for long-range indirect fire support, you better get ready to build a ton (good luck supporting more than one or two) of mortar emplacements whose ability to target enemies, along with their range, is ridiculously laughable. I'd write even more about how your vehicles are made of paper and the enemy's is looted Stalinium from CoH2, but frankly I'm done with this game, and this review. The only enjoyment I've gotten from this game has been the knowledge that I played this game for exactly 69 minutes, but even that can't slow my mouse reaching for the refund request button. 1/10, come back when this mode is 5 dollars, 2.99 on sale, and they bother backporting content from the main game. I'd say "shame on you" to Relic, but clearly the entire ladder at that studio has their heads shoved so far up the rear of the person above them, they'd never be able to hear it.
Utter cashgrab that was advertised to be much more than it is. Ridiculously overpriced.
Just Terrible. I feel like this should have been a game mode in the full game instead of charging people for an almost no content wave defense game.
The trailer video does not represent the gameplay at all. Trailer = all out war and looks fun. Actual gameplay = 100 pop cap, 2 tanks and a few infantry units. False advertising at its finest.
Decently fun albeit having only 5 maps right now. Hope it gets some more stuff and love from the devs. On the other hand, you are paying $30 USD for 620 bytes, a literal mod for a flawed company of heroes.
COH3 - Final Stand is a fun and small add-on to the main game. It doesn´t track the time correctly, I´ve got ~6 hours of fun out of this. After that, it´s just tedious grind. Why? It´s only FIVE maps, which aren´t even that different. After 6 hours, you´ve beat them all at least once on expert with one faction. After that it´s just raising the stats (chosen via "perks" system) and playing on higher difficulties against buffed enemies. 15€ would be a fair price for this, 30€ is just too much. Also, it´s still a bit bugged.
---------- **I'll say it three times: Don't buy it. Don't buy it. Don't buy it.** 1. **The game has very little content.** At the moment, there's only **one mission type** and **five maps**. Every mission follows the exact same formula: survive 12 waves on any map. As the mission progresses, you'll periodically get a card draft where you can choose new units or passive upgrades. Once you survive all 12 waves, you can either end the run and claim your XP or continue into Endless Mode. The problem is that Endless Mode doesn't reward any additional XP. If you earn 100 XP for clearing Wave 12, you'll still earn only 100 XP even if you survive to Wave 36. Endless Mode is nothing more than a pointless punishment. 2. **Endless Mode serves no real purpose.** Once the enemy numbers become overwhelming in the later waves, any tactical adjustments become meaningless. The only thing you can do is stack your tanks around your HQ and turtle until you're eventually overrun. There's very little skill or strategy involved. 3. **There is currently no matchmaking.** If you want to play multiplayer, your only option is to invite friends. You can't queue with random players. 4. **The skill tree is extremely shallow.** It's nothing more than basic stat increases like attack, defense, and health. You can see the entire progression path at a glance, and there's almost no depth to the upgrade system. 5. **The Roguelite mechanics are incredibly shallow.** The selection of units and upgrades is extremely limited, making every run feel almost identical. Unfortunately, I played too long to qualify for a refund, so the best I can do is warn others not to buy this game. At **$26.99**, you can buy plenty of indie games with significantly more content and much better value. If you're still interested, I'd recommend waiting to see whether the developers add more mission types and expand the game's content. As it stands, I was already bored after just **6 hours** because the gameplay lacks any real depth. The advertised features—**Endless Mode, Roguelite progression, and unique random events**—all feel extremely underdeveloped and superficial. On top of that, I honestly don't understand the people leaving positive reviews. Either they're not being truthful, or they've never played games like **Company of Heroes**. Otherwise, I can't imagine how anyone could find such a bare-bones gameplay experience engaging.
