Command: Modern Operations is the next generation in cross-domain modern wargaming. It enables you to simulate every military engagement from post World War II to the present day and beyond. The scale is primarily tactical/operational, although strategic scale operations are also possible.

Reviews
Great game, although difficult to learn. You probably won't find anything similar with such complexity. I think it's even better optimized. What I would like is Steam Cloud Save or Achievements, so I can save which scenarios I've completed. (there are many campaigns and scenarios that you can play for many years, and keep track of your progress over the years)
NOT WORTH.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Thought i'd rejig my review after finding a couple of game breaking issues, but apart from that, and the time wasted scratching my head in incredulity at the amateurishness of the GUI - it's a perfectly reasonable game for the price..... Mission editor: Does not display or function properly - the left hand side of the editor window is missing and some text blocks are corrupted. When you scroll one of the fields within the mission editor window - the entire window moves, which is somewhat disorienting. It also seems to have this habit of refreshing itself whenever it receives any user input, and how it likes to take its sweet old time in refreshing itself. Attempting to select/edit missions when selecting from the mission list is like playing whack a mole as the list just jumps around or decides to self scroll itself to the top. Which means you end up staring at something you did not select and must then scroll down again to find the mission you initially clicked on - which is time consuming as the scrolling speed is painfully slow, like pulling teeth slow, especially if you have multiple missions lined up. If you get too clicky with the mouse in an effort to speed things up you will just end up staring at your desktop, again. And again. Annnnnd again. But that's not even the best bit as you will come to discover, after fighting to get the editor to eventually work, that strike mission you set up to bomb the enemy airbase/facility does not take off because when you click >Create Flight Plan< you will receive the message: Flight """" is unable to take off - reason: No Targets available. So here we have a truly groundbreaking genre of wargame/simulator that is exceptional because your side cannot see and shoot at the opposing side's facilities even though they are marked as visible/auto detected. I kid you not, this is the first wargame/sim i have played where there is no opposing force to shoot at - which is kind of fundamental for a warfare sim - isn't it? WRA: By this point though you've invested a good hour and a bit in to figuring out what you did wrong - you know you spent a great deal of money on this and you just want to be able to play a game without it freezing/crashing/throwing a fatal exception error and such the like - which it seems to do with so often you could almost set your watch to it. So you then land on the Weapon Release Authorisation (WRA) window, this is where you tell each platform you have, the amount of each type of weapon they posses they should lob at the enemy, and at what range and so on. It's actually a very good tool to have at hand, but remember the mission editor window i spoke about? Well it couldn't hold a candle to the WRA window. You have your list of weapons and you begin to assign them the amounts they should expend, what to shoot at, what not to shoot at and so on. First couple of entries no worries, the process works smoothly enough, the window refreshes itself with each input. But then, with each subsequent entry, you start to notice the lag, it starts slowing down. At first it's not an issue but then it gets slower, and slower annnd slower. Until eventually minutes are now passing between each entry input/window refresh cycle before you can input another weapon parameter - and again, don't even think about clicking your way out of it as you will definitely end up staring at you desktop, again. It is, by a country mile, the most excruciating process in the whole saga, especially if you have several different weapons which need parameter inputs from the user. I could go on but you'd probably think i'm just p!zzed at having parted with a dollar after being sold a kipper. So don't take my word for it do your own research - start by examining the reviews here, i mean the positive ones, that's right - many of the positive reviews about this game here on Steam start with the preamble - "great game but many bugs" But if you really want to see the extent of the problems this game has (apart from the fact there is nothing to shoot at or the fragility of the GUI) take a look a the tech support/bug reporting forum on Matrix, as it is by far the busiest section, as you inform yourself as to whether or not it's worth the price and the space on your drive it will occupy. Apart from all that it is an absolutely incredible achievement - as i'm sure many of their military customers will testify. Staring at a fatal exception error, during a critical phase of the battle.
It's really great.
Sit Down and Look at Maps: The Video Game I love it.
Vale cada centavo
awesome game if your into navel and modern warfare but evaryone else steer cear this game will addict you fast
A Must-Have for Strategy Enthusiasts,an absolute gem for strategy lovers. The depth and detail are mind-blowing. To succeed in the game, you'll need to dive into the resource specifications, mastering every aspect of modern warfare. It's a challenge, but incredibly rewarding. Plus, the integration with Tacview for 3D scene visualization adds a whole new dimension to the experience, covering land, sea, and airborne operations.
Reminds me of my time working in a Brigade Tactical Operation Center (TOC). Probably not for a casual gamer though.
