Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great collection of games with a good QoL speed up feature that doubles movement and actions but keeps the music playing at regular speed, serious when i say i never turned it off when playing. That said, I really only got this to play Legend III because i wanted to try the other game that the devs of FF Mystic Quest made and you do see a lot of that game in this. From some of the monster sprites, to the jumping+puzzles using it (which sadly isn't utilised as much as id like so you forget it's a thing until you need it), to the guest allies that come and go. I guess the main diff is that you get 4 main allies instead of 1 and also incorporates a lot of the FF Legend mechanics without limited weapon usage. ----- Just from playing i highly recommend a guide if for no other reason then just to learn what anything does since the game has no descriptors. Basically you get a large variety of weapons and armour but aside from the ones that physically boosts stats, it doesn't tell you how strong something is. Like how you start out with a long sword (10 pow), battle axe (20 pow), long bow (7 pow) and a bronze staff (6 pow). Basically knowing this there is no reason to use the sword over the axe, while the staff is actually useless since i don't think it boosts magic power and mutants (which are better with magic) don't hit hard with them either. Incidentally the better early game weapons ends up being Psi daggers (attacks using magic but doesn't tell you this, good for magic casters and are best for them till you find a better psi weapon in the mid game), the whip since it can hit twice (doesn't tell you this), and the nunchuk early since it's slight stronger then the axe. Never really found a use for bows, skills, fists, or guns outside of the psi one, maybe if you don't want to take counter dmg i guess. ----- The transformation mechanic is lacking in in game info as well, which npcs talk about but the game doesn't really simplify it. ie "Monster < Beast < Human/Mutant > Cyborg > Robot". You have 2 humans and 2 mutants who are good at atk and magic respectfully. Any one of them can transform so imo it's better to turn humans into robots once you can buy some capsules since their agi is quite lacking even near end game, while mutants are better turned into beasts to supplement their low health (not monsters later since you'll want everyone equipped with mystic weapons in the end). Overview - Monsters always scale to their respective enemy but cant use weapons/gear (can be equipped to save inventory space however) making them cheap to use while spamming talents since they cost nothing, - Robots start out weak but can be capped out easily with buying stat capsules making them quite busted with aoe weapons or just spamming their talents, no mp so can't use spells. - Beasts are a little lacking early but can make up for a mystic's lack of hp and agi as you get closer to lvl 31 and their final form resists everything. - Cyborgs are meh, they neither have the scaling of humans/mutants or accessibility of capsules, they instead gain hp boosts off the gear they have (hidden bonus), but since robots can also use weapons they are just superior. battles might drop either meat or a bolt based on enemy type. If you are in base form (human/mutant) then you'll just transform into them or revert back if you eat the opposite, ie and based on the flow above, if you are a robot and eat monster meat then you'll go back to human/mutant, while eating beast meat will turn you into a cyborg (+2 or +1 basically), or using the toilet will bring you 1 step closer to centre. Every Odd level unlocks a new set of transforms for everything in each element so you just have to find the one you like and which element they transform into is based on your current allies element and the meat from the monster you just fought (recommend a guide to keep track of that). ----- TLDR, Once you figure things out its not too bad to manage, it becomes more annoying to keep track of effects on later game equipment when you want certain ailment coverage (which the game also doesn't tell you, you just have to put something on and see what get's circled on their talents page). My only real complaint about this game is actually the random battles, aside from the ship module there isn't a way to stop them when you are fed up with grinding and the steps for the next encounter is anywhere between 1 and 30, you'll either get them back to back, or never see them once when running through a map. Aside from that i had fun and that's all that matters to me. Highly recommend for the harder Mystic Quest experience, while i'd rather play The Secret of Varonis for a flushed out Legend 1 or 2-like.

SaGA is a series I never really got into. I remember having both Final Fantasy Legend 1 and 2 for the Original Gameboy but I lost those games somewhere along the way. I picked this up for a stroll down nostalgia lane and it was fun to play and see the a branching path for Final Fantasy. I'm currently on a FF Kick ahead of Xmas where I intend to start Tactics Remake, so i'm clearing my backlog on steam!
This port is an absolute embarrassment. Square needs to never go through Racjin again. Between the constant issues with saves not saving, screen tearing, and the literal ass of random encounters. For example, in the cloud map with the chests, the "random" encounters are in the same order for the same number of steps each time I would reload the save. That's pathetic, at least try to design a functional rng..... Just get a legal rom and emulator and avoid this mess of a port.
I do have a bit of a soft spot for old games, so this was right up my alley. I missed these games growing up, and I got to play them now! I would highly recommend following a walkthrough though, mainly for getting yourself unstuck, and guides on what the items do. But yeah, this is some great JRPG old-school goodness, and is honestly one of the more unique RPGs available even though they are so old. I'd recommend playing all 3 games in the collection too, they all have their pros and cons.
🎮 Reseña de COLLECTION of SaGa FINAL FANTASY LEGEND

It's pretty obvious that these games are supposed to come with instruction manuals, I wish they were included in some form. Aside from that, this is a really good port!
