it may not be for everyone, but i really enjoy the game play, searching through the registry while passive searching to identify ships and subs through their acustic signature, trying to fire off the torps in the enemies baffles so as not to be detected, it requires patience that i sometimes dont have but its still enjoyable to have to run like hell because 20 torps got dropped on you and are tracking your rear end.
Now that I'm actually good at the game, there's nothing like taking out my frustration by absolutely dominating a Chinese assault convoy of 8 or 9 ships.

Spillet er bra det. Kan bli noe avhengighet dannende vil jeg tro. Så langt har jeg bare spilt direkte mot 1 annen spiller og ikke forsøkt noe mer enn dette ennå. Noen spillere forlater spillet før det er ferdig, men-men. Savner bruk av spille konsoller. Jeg er ikke vant til kun mus og tastatur.

Great game if you love subs
Probably a common theme among people here; I played Atlantic Fleet and saw this game by the same Developer. Thinking it would be similar but with newer tech, I bought it. These games are not the same! Cold Waters is far more cerebral, patient and tactical. You have to become the hunter, not just the attacker. I've lost many a game by trying to launch Harpoon missiles at a ship, only to be depth-charged into oblivion. But when you get it right, when you stalk an enemy Sub or Carrier and your torpedo hits .. it is very satisfying. This is not a casual, easy game. It's hard, honestly. But if you're patient and willing to learn a thing or two about actual submarine warfare, then it's a great and rewarding game that I've only started to scratch the surface of in ~20hrs of play.
