About

The highly anticipated sequel to one of 2022’s most acclaimed RPGs, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector takes players to the Starward Belt, a richly realised, ramshackle set of habitats in an asteroid belt full of secrets, stories, and characters trying to make ends meet.
You are a sleeper, an emulation of a human mind housed in an artificial body. You are on the run from the corporation that made you and the gang that seeks to control you. Commandeer a ship, build a network of crew and allies, and take on challenging contracts as you seek to build a future for yourself.
Choose a class, configure your skills and assemble your crew in unique tabletop-inspired gameplay. Your future depends on the roll of a dice, as you make difficult choices in a complex world. Reinventing the award-winning systems of Citizen Sleeper, this dice-driven RPG will satisfy both fans of the original game and new players alike.

To stay one step ahead of your pursuers you’ll need three things: A belt-worthy ship, a tight crew and a contract or two.
The ship you stole. It’s a ragged old Rig that’s seen better days, but it’s all you’ve got. Upgrade your ship to extend its range, reach new locations and turn it from a hovel to a home.
Your crew starts with Serafin, your fellow escapee and a rock-solid pilot. But you’ll need scrappers, engineers and all sorts to take on the work that’ll keep you flying. From temporary contractors to new residents of the Rig, each of these characters has their own story, skills and troubles. Choose carefully.
Contracts take place far from the bars and shops of the Belt’s many hubs. These high-risk jobs each have their own challenges. From exploring treacherous derelicts and risky heists, to asteroid surveying and ship repair, you’ll need to make the most of your skills, crew and resources to complete the contract and get paid.

Soon after escaping from your corporate overlords, you fell under the control of a local criminal gang and its leader, Laine. Now, after a desperate attempt to free yourself from servitude by rewriting the very code that governs your system, you are on the run again, this time with a malfunctioning body, a price on your head and no memory of your past.

Each character class now has a unique “Push” ability, upgradable and customisable, that can help you turn the tide of a difficult job or send you into a dangerous spiral depending on how and when you choose to use it. Reroll your dice to change your fate, or focus a single die to bet everything on a big success. Each class offers different tactical possibilities.

Nothing in the Belt ever runs smooth, including your artificial body. Citizen Sleeper’s revolutionary dice system returns, revised for the sequel. Manage your stress or take damage to your dice. Deal with glitches as they accrue in your system. Push yourself to get lucky and make this cycle count.

Contracts offer a new kind of focussed, tactical gameplay to the Citizen Sleeper experience. You’ll need to prepare carefully and choose the right approach for these multi-cycle, high-risk, high-reward jobs, but you’ll also have to react and adapt to both the roll of the dice and the twists and turns of each task.

The Starward Belt offers a bigger, more varied world than the original game. Instead of living on a single station, you'll chart a course from hub to hub with complete freedom, taking on jobs and setting goals as you see fit. A living world, the Belt rewards curiosity and care, but it's up to you to decide which locations and stories deserve your time and resources.

Player choice is a massive part of the Citizen Sleeper experience, and the sequel deepens this with new skill checks that allow you to express your class and character in scenes, as well as branching storylines that will ask you to make hard choices. The future of your character is up to you.

Reviews
I will preface my recommendation by saying that this game trends more towards an interactive novel than a game. It has gameplay elements, but they are light (though satisfying in their implementation.) If you are not a person that enjoys reading and following characters as the PRIMARY draw of a game, this isn't for you. That being said, this is a fantastic display of world building, music, writing, and characters. Almost every sentence is a treat to read. This game aims for a very specific niche, but it hits that niche with a dead center bullseye.
This game takes everything that made the first one great, and gives you more world to do things in. Building a crew, improving your ship, and deeply learning more about yourself is all really cool.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good game and an improvement on the first one. I think it could have afforded a tad more mechanical and thematic distance from its predecessor, but such is true for almost all sequels. You should play this one
Wonderful sequel to a wonderful game. I had a great time with Starward Vector and found to be almost as good as the first Citizen Sleeper. It does some things a little better, and some things a little worse, but overall it's a very good game. I found that the contract missions felt tense with just limited time to utilize my skills + the addition of crew was a welcome touch too. Like the first game it still gets a little bit too easy by the late game as you've boosted your skills (even though broken and glitched die to try to mix things up a bit). I also think I preferred the first game's focus on just one big station instead of travelling between areas, but that's a minor thing really. Overall, if you liked the first game I think you'll find plenty to like here as well. For new players there's not really any narrative overlap (outside a few very minor references to the first game), so having played the first game isn't a requirement at all either.
For being a game about being an android, This is the most human experiences i've ever had playing videogame. Actual human beings aren't written as well most days. 10/10
An amazing sequel to the first game. Characters were just as engaging and easy to get invested in all of them. The story and journey to survive having the mobility and freedom to go to different locations gave a different feel to the first in a good way. The art and writing is just as top notch and makes me hopeful to see this universe again. I think that is it's biggest strength is that the lack of a firm timeline but in the aftermath of a collapse gives a nice twist on a post apocalyptic story and opens itself up for so many ways other games, even in other media, to be interesting. I very much look forward to and hope the dev makes another game eventually.
A beautiful sequel to an already amazing game, without sacrificing quality in any way. A different experience that I recommend to anyone who liked the first game.
Citizen Sleeper 2 is an interesting game that builds and expands on the themes from the first game "What does it mean to be human?". How it differs from the first game: - more game mechanics - the ability to recruit crewmembers - the ability to take on "contracts"/travel to multiple locations on the Belt You don't NEED to play the first game to play this one but in my opinion you should (especially to finish the DLC). The sequel brings back a number of characters from the first game's main story and DLC and gives you an idea on how things worked out for different characters after they left the Eye (the setting for the first game). I really enjoyed meeting these characters again under different circumstances and getting more conclusion to their stories. The game also hints at the result of your decisions from the first game's DLC ending (which I found very cool). In general, I did enjoy this game but it took me 3 tries and changing my difficulty level to get to the end. The game can be very punishing and the RNG aspect can feel unfair. I had a much better time playing on Story mode/easy mode. There was still some tension and time restraints but the more forgiving stress mechanics made me more daring in pushing my luck to complete my objectives on time. I really liked my crew so felt a bit disappointed that some of them didn't get any kind of dialogue/conclusion at the game's finale. The finale itself is left open-ended which is fine but I liked the "true/DLC" ending of the first game. Overall good experience and a worthwhile play for anyone who played the first Citizen Sleeper.
