Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Sep 14 → 2.67/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Absolutely wonderful game and story. (I will leave it there, because I don't have time. If I did, I might go on for a good 12 paragraphs.)
Very nostalgic. It reminds me of Chrono Trigger, but lighter. Really nice one.

Phenomenal. Chained Echoes is a fantastic game that's strongest points also make it difficult to get into. Pros:[olist] [*]Beautiful 16-bit art style [*]Turn-based combat is well-done. Switching off in pairs is something I haven't really done in a game before and I liked it. [*]Character ability spread encourages mixing, matching, changing up your formation. Especially by Act 3 and 4. [*]While I criticize the implementation of the Overdrive mechanic below. I enjoyed it regardless. It's a guarantee that no battle has to go the same way twice. You are constantly on your toes improvising. [*]The plot is thicker than animal lard. And that's a compliment. No spoilers, experience it yourself. [*]Characters have consequences and lives beyond the plot that is not resolved by the central conflict. In my opinion that makes them far more alive characters than most fiction I've everinteracted with. It makes for one of the few times I want a sequel.[/olist] Cons:[olist] [*]Act 1 maintains excellent forward momentum at the cost of being exhausting (and resulting in two false starts that had me come back to the game later). [*]This plot momentum also makes you feel significantly behind in terms of strength as your skill points aren't awarded by xp. They are awarded by things like side quests, optional bosses, etc. Until you can more freely access this content starting in Act 2: You feel weak. [*]The Overdrive bar can be difficult to manage, which is good, make the mechanics matter. But... sometimes it just lines up with tough enemies that can wipe you out even on normal difficulty. Resulting in no functional difference between choosing the right ability for Overdrive, which results in being unable to save your team, or saving your team and staying in Overheat which gets you killed on the next turn. You die either way.[/olist]
Good story, fun combat mechanics
Though I haven’t played many JRPGs, Chained Echoes was a great experience! The story itself is pretty good, with nice twists and turns as well expect from genre. The main cast is colourful, distinctive, and each have their own niche in combat, which makes team building and gameplay very interesting depending on which character you decide to main. The only nitpicks I’d make is the overdrive system during combat that can be slightly annoying: it can sometimes “force” you to pick unoptimal moves just so you can stay in the green zone. It’s also slightly unfortunate that the character icons/sprites during dialogue don’t emote, but I understand there might’ve time and budget limitations. The game was overall a great experience! Decently challenging gameplay, funny, and touching story-wise.
Beautiful game with very well written plots and character world building. Gameplay is different comparing to other turn base rpg. The boss also challenging and skip the grinding part which cause boring sometimes. But the masterpeice is the story, it leaves so much emotions after game ending. Again, this is a very well written game. Cheers for a wonderful game.
It's a good game, with a very good story and engaging combat. The only downside is, that trash mobs take too long to fight and you only can turn down the difficulty for all enemies. I would love to have different settings for bosses and trashmobs, so I canNormal Bossfights and easy trashmob fights. Please make it happen.
